Dr. Elizabeth Bevins, MD

Dr. Bevins was friendly, respectful, patient, and thorough. She listened without interrupting me, explained everything thoroughly, answered my questions, asked me if I had any questions, and offered me choices. I could not ask for more.

All sorts of cognitive issues and movement disorders presented themselves in early 2021. I’ve just been in search of answers since then. The 1st neurologist I went to ordered all the MRI’s/bloodwork/etc. This all came back normal. I’ve seen 3 movement disorder specialists, but since all my tests came back normal. they don’t provide any assistance. I’m only 43, so it’s like no one wants to listen to or believe me. All my symptoms and research point to early onset Lewy body dementia. I even joined a support group for early onset LBD. Unfortunately I have way too many similarities with everyone on the call. Long story short, some one suggested a memory care specialist instead of a movement disorder specialist. These can be tough to find, but I found Elizabeth online and she even had a 2 minute you tube video stating how hard it is to admit you’re having problems, so she listens and treats everyone with compassion. I find that ironic, since she won’t even talk to me.

Dr Bevins jumped to a diagnostic conclusion without adequate diagnostics. She gave a premature diagnosis without sufficient clinical evidence which created a significant amount of stress and created a major problem with DMV. She reported her diagnosis if "early onset Alzheimers" to the DMV and they were going to revoke her driver's license until a more competent neurologist ordered additional tests which determined she did not have Alzheimers.
