Don't waste your time
Terrible experience. Completely missed an iron deficiency after I told her that I thought I had an iron deficiency because I had hair loss, fatigue, etc. She dismissed me telling me it must be a skin issue but assured me she would run tests. At the time I had no idea how to read labs and she didn't even order a ferritin test. After a year of waiting to get into a derm, they actually listened to me and looked at my tests to notice I didn't even get tests run that would help. My ferritin was extremely low and I sent it to Dr Y, all she did was yet again brush me off. I sent her my whole family history that struggles with auto-immune disorders and I'm convinced she didn't even read my notes, my labs, etc. I am finally with a dr group that listens to me and have been able to pinpoint SO many preventative issues in my labs. Do not waste your time getting in, waiting for a dr that won't listen to you, to then be dismissed for a year plus.

I chose Dr. Yerelian because of her location to my home. Set her up as my PCP and had my first appointment. Went well but noticed it was pretty pricey. Since then I have needed to see a doctor for not feeling well (sick), foot pain, and now back pain. And all three times there are no appointments available, so much so that they won't even book me for several months out. I am 49, pay $530/mo for insurance and have no idea how this system works when I need basic help and to make it worse a PCP that isn't available, what is the point of all of this?

Excellent experience!
I just switched insurance and picked Dr. Yerelian because of her experience and her office is easily accessible. I am very pleased with the care I have received. At my new patient appointment she responded to my list of questions (the nurse warned me she may not be able to get to all of them, but she did!) and offered options for each one, including referrals for testing and specialty care and appropriate follow up options with her. I have since emailed her with a couple other questions and she got right back to me, often the same day. I look forward to finally having access to quality health care now that I am on Medicare.

Didn't bother to read my chart, or she would have understood out of range test results. Seems unable to manage complex health problems, which is what a PCP is for.

Why would anyone ever give this MD a one star?
I've been a patient with Dr. Yerelian for about 4 years and let me tell you after 61 years (my age) of going from PCP to PCP with no real value add, I found Dr. Yerelian when we switched our insurance provider. Trust me, she's the best and her office has excellent customer service. She's helped me through a number of recent surgeries and recommendations to specialists. I guess some people are just not happy people.

I tried onboarding with Dr. Yerelian today and left the office in tears. I have a complex, poorly understood medical condition that I manage really well and needed a couple simple prescriptions that most PCP's can help with. She tried to pawn me off on specialists, some appropriate, some I know will refuse to treat my condition because it's not in their wheelhouse, with long waiting lists who may or may not take my insurance instead. One issue was I've been having a low level anaphylactic reaction to the moderna shot and I asked for prednisone. She nearly didn't give it to me, trying to pawn me off on a specialist in a few weeks. My face is swelling now. She finally relented, but I was pretty horrified. If you are perfectly "normal" and don't need anything more than your cholesterol checked, I'm sure she is lovely. I have had more enthusiastic, engaged, and immediate treatment being seen for five minutes at an urgent care. I'm disappointed and upset.

Terrible customer service. I am a trauma social worker and my schedule changes frequently depending on crisis situations. I have had a to reschedule a physical about three times but have always gave multiple days notice. I was treated terribly by the receptionist and when I tried to talk to the office manager she was just awful. Dr. Yerelian is a terrible physician and I would never recommend her to anyone. I think she will need to get more experience in her residency before she can manage working in a practice.
