I came to him in hopes of getting a skin tag removed he asked what caused it and I said I think it was an ear ring and he then proceeded to judge me and ridicule me and told me that I wasn't born with piercings or tattoos and said that I should quit smoking and then when I was trying to leave he blocked the door and told me I wasn't leaving until I paid him I asked how much and for what? And he says a hundred dollars for his advice and I said I don't have any money and he said then we'll bill you I said ok then bill me and he then doubles back and says no you have to pay now and refused to move away from the exit and let me leave. so I do not recommend this physician to anybody for any reason, in order to get a skin tag removed and instead I get charged a hundred dollars for an opinion.

I do not recommend this physician. My 17 yr old son and I were involved in a motor vehicle accident and taken to the ER at St. D. We had been in the ER for 8 hours being treated for serious injuries before being taken upstairs for my son to be evaluated for his crushed hand. Dr. Howell treated us so badly. He was rude, arrogant and made demeaning statements to my son about his weight. Since his injury was critical and required immediate surgery, I felt like I had no choice but to use this doctor. When we visited for the follow up care after the surgery, he even took his thumb and rubbed it over my sons incision grinding the flesh into the screws that were placed in his hand. He even made a joke hoping my son doesn't take a fall on the injured hand with his weight falling on the hand. We are 1 year post op. As for the surgery itself, it seems to be doing okay. His staff treated us well, although they acted like they were afraid of him. Not recommended.

Horrible. Hateful to my handicap husband and daughter at follow-up. Don't use this man! He is at St. D but is NOT affiliated with them in any way. He ridiculed my husband, told him he didn't have time to come home with him and raise him. Bandage and splint did not hold on nose. Said it was my fault and where was I at the follow-up. I had to work so my eighteen year old took him. My husband can no longer work but need a lot of medical care. Grilled my eighteen year old as to why I was not there. I called nurse after and St D but got no where. My husband's handicap is a severe physical one that affects his speech greatly told him he couldn't teach him the right way to take care of wound and told him he had no materials to replace the splint that he would just have to be careful!

Friendly, helpful, compassionate, and very thorough with a great sense of humor. I had an accident with a power saw resulting in a volar amputation of the great (middle) finger on my right hand in the summer of 2017. Dr. Howell saved as much of the tip as he could with a V-Y plasty. I have very little (about 2%) loss of function and dexterity. Though about a joint shorter, I can perform fine motor tasks...even typing at 45 to 60 WPM. My experience with him was top-notch. I recommend him highly!

Don't let this guy near your nose. I had a rhinoplssty performed by him in 94. He was in Hattiesburg then. Biggest mistake I ever made was using him.
