Excellent neurologist
It has made all the difference to me to have her expertise in my recovery. She’s been monitoring my symptoms and guiding me with my health decisions for 3 years. She is very respectful and listens and shares relevant information. I have upmost confidence in her professional care.

Highly recommend
Dr. G has been my neurologist for five years and she advocated with my insurance when my medication was initially denied. More recently my husband had a head injury in another country and I reached out to Dr. G for help. Within hours she responded with all the phone numbers and names of relevant specialists to call which was so helpful to me as I tried to arrange care for my husband and also care for him in his initial recovery. In my experience this combination of expertise and care and timely response is rare and it helped me so very much. I absolutely recommend Dr. G to MS patients. She goes above and beyond in areas in which she can be helpful.

Don’t do it
She seemed nice and attentive at first when all I needed was my routine follow up and medication, but when I truly needed answers for new symptoms she was dismissive and rude. She then continued to try to push a medication on me that I didn’t want to take, which I later found out had a better alternative that she did not mention or offer. I’ve since found a much better neurologist who listens in addition to being knowledgeable. One without the other is useless in a provider.

Dr. Grebenciucova appears to be very intelligent and Knowledgeable about M.S. ,she's not shy about letting you know that. Her bed side manor is not very good and in my opinion she does not like male Pt's. She can be very condescending and unwilling to listen to the pt's concerns. She also doesn't seem interested in forming a Patient Dr relationship, I felt like a customer not a pt. I was very hopeful that I finally found a Dr who cared about my health, That wasn't the case.

I had one of the best experiences I've ever had with a medical care professional when seeing Dr. Elena Grebenciucova for a neurological concern related to severe migraines and hormonal birth control. She took my concern seriously, actively listened and reflected back what I was telling her, demonstrated empathy and expertise in the field, and urgently pursued a solution. As many women might unfortunately know, this level of belief and attentiveness can be rare to come by with medical professionals. Dr. Grebenciucova went the extra mile to research the particular birth control I had been taking, communicate (via phone call!) its dangers with my particular predisposition, and expertly recommend an alternative, safer option. As a result, I've been doing much better. I would recommend her to anyone, especially women seeking help with neurological issues related to hormonal birth control.

Many stars for the hospital and its facilities but one star for this doctor. She was curt and rude, and cut me off rudely when I tried to say something or ask a question. It was like me and my questions didn't even matter so I just sat there and let her do the talking. She's unpleasant in her manner and I felt like a number more than a person. I think I should have come to the appointment with another person because maybe she's one of those doctors that will take care to answer questions and treat you better if you're accompanied by someone else and there's not only you and her sitting in that room. I actually see another doctor at NW and he's fantastic, so I had high hopes for this doctor as well, but those hopes were quickly dashed, which just goes to show that the same facility can have excellent doctors and, well, not so much... I hope I can get much better treatment and care with someone else and maybe I'll bring someone along with me to the appointment this time.

OMG if you want to know what the business end (the consumer/patient) will feel like with an unempathetic, rushed, not well informed MD regarding the treatment of migraines, make an appointment with her. I expected but did not receive compassionate care. Between the sighing, the rushed Q and A and patient history I felt as if I had been put through the ringer. This is the future of healthcare apparently, ie dispassionate rushed care (and care was anything but here). I get it medicine is a business, it’s a numbers game. If your medical care involves NWMH, be forewarned. Their specialists and primary care physicians may not render assistance as you need and deserved.

I read some negative reviews online but decided to visit Dr. Elena Grebenciucova anyway because I needed to see a neurologist with an MS specialty. I found her to be smart, very knowledgable and sound in her recommendations. She spoke quickly, which I am used to, but she slowed down when I asked her my questions and took time to be sure I was able to ask my questions. She also was attentive to my lab results and suggested some additional tests, which were due to her paying attention. I felt comf

Dr. G has been great. She is delicate in nature while aggressive towards my case. She always takes time to answer any and all questions thoroughly. She goes above and beyond in finding the right solution for each and every case. Thank you, Dr. G.
