Dr. Elba Villavicencio, MD

I love her!! She is so knowledgeable about everything. I feel very safe in her care. She can help you for small issues all the way up to the most complex. I am very satisfied with my doctor. She is a Godsend to me. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help to feel better. She also works with you to try new things to turn around your health in many different ways and I love that flexibility!!

She is an example of what a physician should be right down to her suggestions as well as her honest thoughts that even though may be what you want to hear she has a way of talking with patients that make them feel at ease; she is genuine in her concern and knows her limits; not afraid to work with other professionals but does not refer for unnecessary tests/procedures. Great sense of humor. If she keeps you waiting, don't fret, you will be given the same attention that she gave the last patient

This doctor is so down to earth, so cool, and so compassionate that I was shocked. I chose her for her reviews, indeed, she was the family physician of the year for Illinois. I mean: that is something!!!! I changed all my family to her. She is there when I needed.

Dr V listens to your concerns and tries to get to the bottom of your problems and issues. If she can't do it, without hesitation refers you to a specialist. She won't let insurance companies limit her quest for getting the patient better. She does run behind with appointments but that is because she is always taking fully care of patients. That is why she is the family physician of the year by the American Academy of Family Physicians, Illinois. Good catch Northshore!!!

The struggle of trying to say her last name in making appointments is made up with her excellent kindness. Dr. V takes her time and really listens to you. She is so kind and never makes you feel like just a time slot . You are a human to her and she really cares. I would recommend her to anyone in the Gurnee area and even worth a longer drive.
