Very Grateful, and Thrilled With My Outcome!
I was nervous prior to my decompression and L3-L4 fusion surgery. Dr. Shafa and his team did an absolutely perfect job and were very pleasant to work with. After a single overnight, I was easily able to go home the next morning. The support and follow up has continued to be excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Shafa to anyone with spine issues! THANK YOU Again!

First I want to congratulate the terrific staff at TC Spine Center in Coon Rapids and the very smooth intake system. Dr. Shafa was very professional and competent. He explained issues and I have hopes that my back problems will improve!

Great pre-surgery meeting
He had reviewed all of my case notes and mri prior to our meeting, reviewed my mri again and listened closely to what I said while closely observing my neck and arm movements throughout the meeting. Discussed all options and feel super comfortable moving forward with surgery. Now just hoping it can get scheduled in the next two weeks. Thank you to Dr Shafa, Sarah and his amazing team!

Gifted Surgeon
I was terrified of surgery for my spinal stenosis. One visit with Dr Shafa and I knew he was the perfect doctor to correct my pain. The care has been top notch and the pain was relieved instantly. I’m still recovering from the surgery 7 days ago but can already tell I made the right choice. Thank You Dr Shafa for giving me my life back!

too little care
He spent only a few minutes with me, hadn't reviewed any of my recent medical records, only gave a quick 30-sec. cursory glance at images. Also was rude and lacked compassion.

Passionate and Extremely Knowlegable
Dr. Shafa is by far the best Doctor I have ever seen in his field of practice. I’ve been to numerous other Doctors that either didn’t have the same knowledge or didn’t have the compassion for patients like Dr. Shafa has. He was thorough and broke down everything from imaging to how surgery would work in an easy to understand way. I’m going to be scheduling my neck surgery with Dr. Shafa. One meeting is all I needed to know he is the Doctor for me. Thank you Dr. Shafa!

Caring Compassionate and Courteous!
Dr Shafa both stopped to take the time to look at you and then to use the MRI results to explain my condition then to explain the surgery procedure. I left feeling comfortable and confident in entrusting my care to Dr. Shafa and his whole team. Everyone is efficient and caring.Totally would recommend Dr. Shafa and the team to anyone!

Empathetic and actually cares about his patients!
Dr Shafa is always friendly and explains conditions and procedures well. I have never felt rushed during appointments, unlike other experiences. Wait times are minimal if at all. Most importantly-great surgeon!

Excellent appointment
Very little wait time. I never felt Dr. Shafa was rushed. He answered questions I have asked other doctors for years. He not only answered my questions but gave sound reasons for his answers. I felt very reassured after visiting with him.

Amazing Surgeon
Compassionate and understanding.He explained choices and was very thorough going over the X-rays.I saw him for a cyst on my spine previously and both surgeries went perfectly! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shafa for any spine issues!
