Dr. Edwin Wells III, MD

While on vacation I had an exacerbation of a herniated disc in my neck. I was in excruciating pain and none of the medications I had used previously were working. Dr. Wells was my attending who was most compassionate and listened very effectively to the severity of my symptom complaint. He ordered a very strong anti-inflammatory which effect within an hour. The nursing staff and all the people I dealt with were very kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend Dr. Wells and the ER department in Rexburg Idaho.

I would not recommend this doctor at all. I took my husband to the ER in Rexburg about 4am one morning. My husband was having a hard time breathing which he has fought all winter due to past pneumonia issues Dr. Wells took one look at my husband who is overweight and assumed he was having heart failure because he had shortness of breathe. He jumped to conclusions with the worst possible diagnosis rather then asking what his past was with breathing. How ignorant and rude to assume that because one is overweight they are having heart failure due to shortness of breathe. I wish I would have waited to see our regular doctor. Not everyone that is overweight has heart issues. Even my husband was taken back by his response. The two male nurses were terrible also. We had to repeat his information. The only decent part of our visit there was the receptionist in the front and the RT who was more help then anyone. I would never recommend this doctor or go to the Rexburg ER again.

He listened to my symptoms and was thorough in finding a solution during a horrible experience. He was a great doctor to have during an emergency!
