Horrible
What stood out was his lack of compassion or interest in my condition. When I asked him what could be done he was very demeaning. Despite sending him a MRI before my visit, it appeared that he had not looked at it or addressed the results.

Very arrogant
He received an old mri but we brought the new one just in case over a hundred images Dr. Stevens spent approximately 5 minutes talking with us as new patients that included looking at only three of the new images. Said if I were you I wouldn’t let anyone operate. Well let’s see patient unable to walk properly for 2+ years. When patient couldn’t feel leg to walk fell and tore up knee. This Dr thinks it’s a knee issue when report says L2-L5 something is wrong. I asked if he wanted the report. His reply no I do my own readings. Left notes that patient needs pain management and structure is gone yet the MRI shows that he is fact lying. He didn’t want to be signed to a veterans administration patient and it showed. Basically rushed us out of office without answers or help. He shouldn’t have a license.

I am a 72 year old male living in Asheville NC area. I was recommend to Dr Stevens and the Davie Spine Cente in Clemmons NC for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion C3-4 and 4-5 surgery to correct my idiopathic peripheral neuropathy. Every phase from checking in to hospital , the 2 hour surgery, the support surgery staff and overnight observational stay, discharge and home recovery far exceeded my expectations. My pain and discomfort from the surgery was very mild. We are extremely fortunate to have Dr Stevens and the Davie Spine center a short 2 hour drive from home.

Dr. Stevens did my major back surgery 5 years ago from T12 through S1 for spondylolisthesis causing scoliosis and herniated discs L4-L5. He was able to fix my problems better than he ever thought possible. My entire spine is a mess. I have been able to function without having the cervical spine surgery for spondylolisthesis and herniated C4-C5 since he fixed my lumbar. My excruciating painful migraine headaches stopped. I rarely have the symptoms in my cervical area since lumbar was stabilized.

Dr. Stevens is so relaxed and knowledgeable. He took time to explain my situation and advised against surgery. I am grateful for his wisdom and have never regretted that decision.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stevens for for approximately four years and have always been very pleased with the results of the surgery he has performed on me. I referred a friend that was in terrible pain to Dr. Stevens and he performed back surgery on him. When I saw the friend six months after surgery he was so pleased he threatened to kiss and hug me. Dr. Stevens staff is very friendly and professional. His NP Emily is very kind and is very thorough and professional when I see her.

I was very impressed with Dr Stevens. I especially appreciated he took the time to pray with me. He performed major surgery on my spine and I am very pleased with the results. I am only six weeks into my healing process and so far it looks like I will not need physical therapy after my twelve week of healing. Dr Stevens took great care with me before, during, and after my surgery. I'm not a patient person, but Dr Stevens and his staff was informative in explaining the healing process.

Dr Stephens performed back surgery on me in May 2016. I was very pleased with his surgeon qualities. He fixed my problem. BUT, I was very unhappy due to the fact that I hardly ever seen him during my dr visits. I saw his PA every visit but 2. My last visit was today. Seen a new PA. Explained to her about new problems I was having. (Different area in back) she told me it was arthritis. And requested I see pain mgmt and PT. My new problem was not addressed to my satisfaction and I was released.
