This doctor lied to me and my wife at his 2 consultations. My pt doesn’t start until 10/23 and the doctor has me free of restrictions on 10/30.

UM Wojtys, go anywhere else!!
Go anywhere else!! Went to UM after learning from St Mary’s MRI daughter has torn meniscus and needed surgery. After 5 months of pain and figuring out financials, we decided UM best for treatment. UM Dr. Wojtys treatment was for no surgery, no PT, and after much discussion willing to see her again if she hurts her knee and comes in swollen and in pain. He also refused to listen that she is unable to return to her sport and now lost her spot on her team. Requesting any other UM doc was another one month delay and discouraged. If pain and poor care is acceptable treatment with obstinate and unsympathetic bedside manner and high professional costs, meet Dr Wojtys. Highly recommend anyone else, anywhere else, you deserve a doctor that cares and listens.

Dr Wojtys was excellent as he spent plenty of time answering all my questions. He recommended alternatives to delay knee replacement, as well as the strong recommendation to loose weight. I appreciated his direct honesty. He explained that for every 10 pounds I lost, it would reduce 60 lbs of pressure on my knee. The synovial fluid replacement injections worked well. Thank you. His PA, Kelsey Johnson is awesome also.

dr.wojyts is the best orthopedic surgeon, hands down. He provided me with so much knowledge,He explained what he was going to do in surgery and the outcomes and what I needed to do to heal in the best way possible. I had an acl reconstruction done by him and have absolutely no pain and have complete function as I did before I injured it. If you are lucky enough to have his services take full advantage you will not be disappointed!

Had ACL reconstructive surgery (patella tendon graft). Very happy with the outcome. The knee feels like it did before the injury. Dr. Wojtys was very attentive. He is good natured and confident in his abilities.

Dr. Wojtys can come off as cold. If you are able to get passed that he is a terrific surgeon. At my first apt, he explained the options to repair my knee. I called back a couple times to get further explanation, his assistants answered my questions and did a fine job. They covered the process from start to finish. One thing I kind of resented then but now appreciate was Dr. Wojtys trying to scare me regarding the rehab commitment. I think he used this to make sure I knew what I was in for.

There literally is not enough room in this box to say how awful this man was. Rude. Not at all compassionate. Rude. Too busy to listen. Rude. Told my daughter she wasn't working hard enough at PT, after 4 bouts of it (she has had 5 hip surgeries, 1 knee surgery and has Ehlers Danlos). He should have retired about 5 years ago because he's just too arrogant and too busy to bother with patients anymore.

He did my ACL surgery. I felt very unprepared for the surgery itself and felt the doctor didn't explain things well enough. After the surgery I had no idea what excruciating pain I would be in and what an enormous recovery period I would have to suffer thru. I've learned an ACL tear is a MAJOR thing to go thru and missed tons of school, I had to go to PT for over 6 months 2-4x a week ( and it's VERY expensive) checkups with him are long and you are herded up with all the other injured patients.
