I had 7 hip surgeries with him, because of a staph infection ..they covered one whole year..He was always there for me and I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Szalapski was amazing! He was communicative, reassuring, competent and I had minimum pain and quick healing after he performed my full knee replacement surgery. He followed up quickly after surgery and he and his team were professional and helpful throughout the initial healing process.

Excellent surgeon, knowledgeable, skilled, showed superb judgement and ability in helping resolve a complex orthopedic problem. Personable as well, with excellent bedside manner.

I saw this 'Doctor' twice. Both were super rushed, if he spent 5 minutes in the room I would be surprised. I came to see both hands and shoulders. He did a quick test of one shoulder and sent them in to do a cortisone shot. I had to track him down later to make sure he knew I primarily came my hands/wrists. He placed an order for one hand even though I mentioned I had sever problems with both. The second appointment he told me to simply wear a brace for 3 months and hope it gets better. I then went and saw a general neurologist at another clinic for my back. She put in an ordered for rehab and was quite concerned with his 'solution' of just wearing a brace for 3 months without movement/exercise.After that I saw another Hand specialist outside of TCO (Allina). He actually spent about 30 minutes in the room with me. Listed about my left hand. Found out I had a torn ligament and my bones were no longer in their correct place. I'll never go to TCO again.

Dr. Ed and his staff were wonderful for my knee replacement surgery. I had very little pain and a relatively short recovery time.

Dr. Szalapski's openness and thoroughness stood out for me. From my first appointment he became a trusted partner guiding me through managing knee problems until the decision was made for a fkr. He assured me early on that we would make the decision for surgery together and his guidance was invaluable to me. It's been 10 weeks to the day since I had my surgery. I am not exaggerating when I say I've had little to no pain at all-discomfort? yes-that's normal, pain? no. My surgery and the Excel program were both outstanding and I could not have had a better experience. Dr. Szalapski and every member of his team were open, available, more than helpful, friendly and supportive. As I continue with physical therapy I see improvements every day and today, at 10 weeks, my walking is normal and range of motion is nearly back to normal. There is more strengthening work to do but I am so happy I had the surgery and had it with Dr. Szalapski. I strongly recommend him and the Excel program.

Just had second knee replacement that Dr. Szalapski performed. He is so knowledgeable and thorough. He and his staff (Jessica) will right back to you with any questions or concerns. He takes pride in no infections, as he should. Highly recommend Dr. Szalapski, you won’t be sorry you did!

Looks out for his utterly incompetent friends. Do not trust his judgement under any circumstances. People like him are everything wrong with the medical profession.

Total Knee Replacement. Extremely happy with results - 10 weeks later resumed all activities I enjoy - biking, gardening, gym, walking. Unrelated issue came up and his concern and follow-up were exceptional. Great bedside manner.

I have been seeing Dr. Edward W. Szalapski for previous knee and shoulder pain and work over the years. Dr. Szalapski preformed a Reverse Shoulder Replacement on me at the end of June 2021 and I have had an almost immediate recovery. No pain after the first week and able to get back to work right away. After years of pain and discomfort, I am thrilled to have had this done! I am 7 weeks out of surgery and getting good range of motion. Great recovery and my scar looks really good. I have scheduled my first knee replacement and will go onto the second one after that recovery! Great Doctor and his medical team is accommodating and respectful.

Dr. Szalapski did my hip replacement 3 years ago and a knee replacement 7 weeks ago. Both went very well and I coudn't be happier. I walk without a cane and a limp and feel fantastic. He is great to work with !!

After a massive rotator cuff tear, Dr. Szalapski recommended a Reverse Shoulder Replacement. He’s a straight shooter and says it like it is. No surprises and everything went as discussed. Three years later and I’m very happy with the surgery! I highly recommend Dr. Szalapski and would go to him again with orthopedic issues.

I have had both knees replaced, rotatory cuff repair and tendon repair from this Dr. He is the best at what he does! No complaints! In addition to me he has replaced both of my wife's hips and both knees! No complaints there either. I have referred him to several of my friends with the same great outcome. Had 2 knee replacements by him and had a great outcome with both. Very happy and also loved the Excel program they had to offer! One on one nurse care, comfortable suites to stay in and even Grub-Hub for food! Excellent place. I was extremely happy to go to the suites and not the hospital! I highly recommend it.

As always a wonderful experience. He always has time for one more question ... he does not rush in and out. A good guy.

Dr. Edward Szalapski has been my orthopedic physician for over 12 years. My mother referred him to me after multiple, successful ortho surgeries. I had successful bi-lateral, knee replacement surgery, over twelve years ago. No more pain, and I have my mobility back. I got my life back!
