Dr. Edward Secunda, DO

When I was a patient, Dr. Secunda was always in a rush, impatient, easily annoyed by basic questions, and provided bare minimum information about his [mis]diagnosis and prescriptions. I once handed him several sheets containing my name, DOB, and a list of medications. He glanced at them for mere seconds before he tossed them into a small open trash can completely ignoring what I was explaining. He's in and out 3-4 minutes tops with each visit. Plus side, you won't usually sit long in the waiting room.

Dr Secunda has been my physician for 25 years. I have a number of illnesses that sometimes can be extreme. Dr. Secunda has managed these illnesses with skill, care and compassion. The idea of having to go and explain “what’s wrong” to a new physician is unnerving.

Dr. Secunda has been my physician for 20 years . He has been effective and responsive. He has effectively treated a couple of chronic illnesses I have had over the years. He knowledge has improved the quality of my life health-wise

I have been going to Dr. Secunda for over 20 years..... He’s an awesome doctor takes his time with you listens to me about how I’m feeling! Now me my husband and our son are his patients. We love him and the staff! Taylor always she us so much love when we come! Dr. Secunda also deals with my husband the right way.... he didn’t like going to the doctor.... now he goes and we don’t have to keep saying you need to go to the doctor! Thank you Dr. Secunda and staff!????

You will sooner die than get a referral out of this office. Call and you will be sent to the “Referrals” voicemail. They never call back. Call and ask for the office manager, and you will get Carolyn’s voicemail. She doesn’t call back either. Stand in front of the staff in person and they tell you that you will have what they call an “ASAP referral” in about three days. They lie to your face. They are all either very incompetent of just don’t care. Either way, they should all be fired.

Dr Secunda spends very little time with his patients and even skimps on explanations of side effects for prescribed medication. Do your research as very little patient education will occur. The office staff is highly disorganized and still complete paper-based. There have been times where there couldn't find my folder and thus any of my information. Office staff had lied for weeks about a referral status to cover the fact they never reached out to insurance as their 1 ref person was on vacation.

I had been to a Dr. in the same office but took my 90 yo mom to Dr Secunda because he was on her plan. She desperately needs home health care to assist with bathing. Dr. Secunda was attentive and actually listened to us. We were impressed. My complaint is what happened after we left the office. I called the referral person and received a message indicating it will take 14 business days to get the referral and to not call again. So now she may need to wait 3 weeks to bath. That is unacceptable.

I have never been misdiagnosed and all medical advice is backed up by science instead of pharmaceuticals. They take the time to listen if you get a PA rather then the regular GP
