Amazing Doctor
I can’t thank Dr. Mostone enough for the exceptional care he has provided. I’ve struggled with recurring foot fracture issues for years, and really appreciate the time he took to really understand my history and piece together the root causes in a way no one else has. His expertise, compassion, and genuine dedication to finding solutions have made a world of difference for me. I am so grateful for the relief I’ve found under his care and couldn’t recommend him more highly!

Bad secretary
I dind even have the chance, if you call to early, lunch time or one hour before they closes you have not a chance to make the appointment. The attend is always in a very bad mood, so unprofessional and should change the profession because she’s the worst and even hung up on me. Thank you.

Expensive; didn’t solve problem, questionable bill
Saw Dr. Mostone four times for straightfwd. warts. Seemed pretty eager in scheduling follow ups and visits were 5-10 minutes tops. Wasn’t sure why needed so many visits but I later learned it was because each visit no matter how long was $240. The billing code was “laser surgery”. Had insurance look into this and they were told despite the laser only being used on 2 of 4 visits it was the right code. Didn’t feel honest to me or why I’d pay the same for a treatment vs. a simple quick look at my feet. I’ll move to a different doctor that I can trust and has more transparent and fair pricing. I’m adding one star because he is a nice guy and getting appointment was always easy and a lot of availability

Best doctor
Dr. Mostone is the best doctor I have ever been to in my life. He is so gentle and kind. He numbed me in a way that I did not feel ANYTHING even though he was removing a painful ingrown nail. He asked me questions during the procedure to take my mind off of it. The person at the front desk, Sharon, was also extremely kind and helpful. I started crying when I learned that I need to do a mini surgery to remove the ingrown nail and Sharon and Dr. Mostone consoled me. Sharon gave me some candy to take home. As a person that cannot tolerate any pain and is also a hypochondriac, this was the best experience I ever had with doctors. Dr. Mostone did everything very fast and painlessly. He gave me antibiotic to take home for free and bandages and gave instructions on what to do. If you have an ingrown nail, go to Dr. Mostone, I cannot recommend him enough!

I have had three recent visits with Dr. Mostone for callouses on my feet. After the first one he missed a callous between my big toe and second toe on my right foot. I was still in pain. Rather than return to the office, I tried to pick it off myself which was a mistake. I ended up cutting my second toe. I returned to his office two weeks later and he dressed my foot, telling me to return in two weeks. He admittedly didn't charge for that appointment. When I returned in two weeks, he removed some other callouses but failed to adequately treat the one between my toes. I expected that he would remove it since it must have been in his notes. Only when I got home that I realised that he didn't touch it. Admittedly, I should have checked to see if he removed it at the time. My expectation was that it should have been in his notes and that he would have consulted them. I have a $45 copay and I resent having to go back a fourth time for a problem that should have been solved the first time.

Dr. Mostone is cordial and nice. His secretary is also kind and efficient, and his Central Square office is a convenient location for anyone who lives in Cambridge. However, he was unable to solve my plantar fasciitis. Appointments consisted for ~5-7 minutes of face time with Dr. Mostone in which he would hear about my lack of improvement, immediately write prescriptions while answering 1-2 questions, and then walk out of the room before I had a chance to ask any more. He also didn't seem to keep track of what he had prescribed. I found the appointments too short to talk through my concerns and his communication about his long-term treatment strategy poor, despite his kind demeanor. As I understand it, plantar fasciitis is difficult to heal, and I don't blame him for being unable to solve my case. Yet, I think my time would have been better served at a different podiatrist's office.
