Cataract Surgery Excellent Results
My vision was really bad - about 20-400. I've worn glasses since I was 8 years old and hard contact lenses for 50 years. Dr. Koo performed cataract eye surgery on both my eyes and now my vision is 20-20 for distance. Since my vision was so 'bad', Dr. Koo advised me that the multi-focal lens was not an option for me. I still need my reading glasses 1.5 but that's a minor inconvenience. Regarding the surgery, I had no pain and no scratchiness (perhaps because my eyes were accustomed to hard lenses). I highly recommend Dr. Koo if you have cataracts.

Dr. Koo removed my cataracts. He was professional, informative and he allowed me to make decisions regarding my own care. He was extremely efficient and my vision has been corrected to 20/20. I could not be more satisfied. I now recommend him to all my friends and family who need cataract surgery.

Fantastic, Caring Doctor
My mother has Alzheimer's which basically makes it hard for her to sit through doctor’s examinations. Dr. Koo first of all has one of the best bedside manners I've seen, second of all he knew exactly how to handle my incredibly nervous mother. It turns out my mother was so nervous she was shaking & couldn't stop. Dr. Koo accomodated this, did a very thorough exam and made recommendations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. His office staff was also very kind and patient when rooming my mother.

Dr. Koo made sure I was well-informed about the risks and trade-offs of cataract surgery, and I was well & efficiently taken care over. After recovery I am now back to my pre-surgery vision, but without glasses! Very happy with the experience & the results. He has amazing staff as well, which is rare in these pandemic days.

Great Cataract Surgeon – Nov 23, 2021

I was recently diagnosed with cataract by my optometrist. She told me to see Dr. Koo who she felt was the best cataract surgeon in the area. I went to see Dr. Koo and he was amazing. Him and his staff explained everything and I was taken care of like a Queen. My vision is perfect now and I am so thankful to Dr. Koo and his staff for all they do for our community. Bravo!

Dr. Koo recently performed cataract surgery on me. I was very concerned due to the Covid situation. His office and staff made me feel very safe and comfortable. I heard from his staff that he is mainly doing cataract surgery now due to the back log from Covid cancelations earlier in the year. My vision was perfect the day after surgery. There was no pain during the procedure. I could not recommend Dr. Koo more highly especially in such unprecedented times. I am planning on getting my other eye done as well in the near future.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Koo and had an appointment for a visit with him last month. It wasn’t until I was sitting in an exam chair that I was informed I would be seeing another ophthalmologist for my annual visit that day. There was no notice written or verbal for a change in provider, and had I been given the choice I would have gone elsewhere for my eye-care. This is after several years of scheduling mistakes, issues with appointment type like asking if I wear contacts (when I don’t and my chart should reflect that), prescription lenses mistakes (multiple times), and this unannounced change in provider was the last straw. Dr. Koo, I’m disappointed and extremely dissatisfied that you would allow your practice to be run like this. If you’re looking for exemplary care, seek out another practice. Would not recommend to anyone I know and will continue to share my poor experience with all of my family and friends. If I could give this no stars I would.

I had gone to several other eye doctors prior to COVID and was not able to get my condition taken care off. I was able to finally get an appointment with Dr Koo recently and was very impressed that he was able to finally cure my eye condition. I am finally pain free thanks to him. I highly recommend Dr Koo.

I was seen by Dr Koo and his staff for an acute eye condition. They fit me in right away and treated me with great kindness as I was a bit hysterical from the pain in my right eye. Dr. Koo was able to decrease my eye pain right away and took care of my eye condition. He is an angel in my book.

Despite making it clear that I wanted a routine eye exam verbally, in writing, before, during and after my visit, the doctor turned it into a more lucrative diagnostic exam and will not properly bill my insurance. I have written letters and called called but received no response whatsoever from him or his office to this problem.
