Poor patient doctor unteractions
I was referred to Dr Donnelly after having my 1st seizure at 70 years old. I tried to give him papers from the hospital of my cat scans and MRI. He said he didn't need them. That should have been my 1st red flag but I have kept my appointments, asking him questions about what my reports said and he just brushed them off without even eye contact. I am in the process of looking for another neurologist who listens to his patients and welcomes his patients to be proactive in their health. Dr Donnelly is not that kind of doctor.

Bad Doctor, Worse Person
I have been seeing Dr. Donnely as a patient for a while now. Last November, he was supposed to take a second look at an MRI of my C-Spine. It took nearly a year of me harrassing his office to get a SINGLE phone call from the doctor himself, simply to tell me that everything came back normal. When confronted about the fact that it took him and his office nearly a year to actually do their jobs, he had no real defense, and basically tried to brush it under the rug and push me off to a surgeon instead of actually doing his job

Have always had a great experience with Dr. Donnelly. Had my first seizure several years ago at age 62. He did a complete evaluation and found the right medication and dosage for me. Happy to say I have been seizure free under his care. He is a great listener and answers all questions thoroughly (and I always have lots of them LOL!)

I saw Dr Edward Donnelly for 8 years! He had me on 1300 mg of Carbatrol for seizures and 25mg of Topomax for headaches. When I went to him last June complaining of the side effects, he told me the medication was working and I would have to live with the side effects! He did not do an EEG, Cat scan or any other imaging to figure out how my brain, hormones etc were doing. It is because of this experience that I fired him and got a second opinion.

You chose to disregard any past experiences you've had with me and for that I am insulted. With a condition that is so unpredictable, your refusal to even hear my side of the story especially since you use to see me for years at another practice and have never had any issues, and your subsequent decision to dismiss me from your care is terrible. Your receptionist made a mistake and then tried to push that mistake off on a patient. This is NOT a review of him at Neurohealth but at his new office

I have been seeing Dr. Donnelly for 2.5 years now. After my first visit he put me on a new medication for my seizure disorder. I have been COMPLETLY seizure free for over 2 years now. With my previous doctor I was having seizures 3-5 times per week. Dr. Donnelly takes the time to listen to me and I feel he is genuinely concerned about my well being. I recommend him whenever I am asked about my seizure disorder.
