My husband had a surgery with Dr. Ramirez at UCLA Santa Monica. The surgery went well, but there was no communication afterwards even though my husband telephoned him. He talked to a person on duty, but he didn't get the information he needed. My husband was anxious about his condition. There was not aftercare, so I would not recommend him.

Helped my itchy ears
Dr Ramirez was the only doctor that took my condition serious! I have very itchy ears and it drives me crazy, Dr Ramirez helped me understand what the problem is and prescribed medication that has been a game changer! I am so happy I finally found a kind doctor that listened to me. I highly recommend him, I fully trust his recommendation

Helped my ears – Aug 22, 2024

One of the best
I went to Dr Ramirez because I was having difficulty hearing, his friendly staff made me quickly feel at ease and calmed my nerves. Dr Ramirez assessed my situation and explained to me that all I needed was a good cleaning and he handled it right on the spot. He was kind and gentle the entire time, and immediately I could tell the difference in my hearing. I definitely would recommend him to anyone that needed their ears assessed for hearing difficulties.

Amazing Doctor
I brought my 2-year-old in to see Dr. Ramirez when she had a chronic cough, her pediatrician didn't seem to think it was a big deal and wouldn't take the time to listen to my concerns. Dr. Ramirez did, he answered all of my questions and even did a bronchoscopy on her, the instruments at Valley View were too big for her small frame so he referred us to Phoenix Childrens. Phoenix Childrens couldn't get her in for a few months, Dr. Ramirez made a call to the pediatric ENT there in Phoenix and we had an appointment the next day! Thank God for Dr. Ramirez, my daughter ended up having a strange, rare bacteria growing which was causing her cough, she needed 2 rounds of strong antibiotics. Without Dr. Ramirez knowledge and compassion who knows what could have happen to my baby! His office staff is very kind as well! Always willing to go the extra mile and help patients in need!

Best ENT
Dr Ramirez did my daughter’s tonsillectomy, he is very caring and knowledgeable. Before surgery he came to speak to us and even answered my 8 year olds questions. He said a prayer with her to calm her fears. After surgery he gave her a popsicle and told her she was a very brave girl. Later that night he called me personally to check on her. I have never experienced this type of caring attitude from another doctor. I have since brought my two younger kids for treatment, he always takes his time and answers all of my questions. His staff is amazing also so kind and sweet! It’s always a great experience when we go in for appointments, I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends

impeccable service
I have spent over 18 months trying to get treatment for 'ringing' and fluid build up in my ears. The last time visting a different specialist he misdiagnosed me and sent me home with the wrong medication. It wasnt until Dr. Ramirez took his time and explained what he was seeing and told me how we were going to treat this. He told me we are going to be treating this in office and I want a follow up in two days. His staff got the apponments I needed scheduled and were true angles, every step of the way. I've now visted the office several times and each has been friendly and respectful. The wait time in office is super fast and nice and clean.I've been living life under-water for the last 18 months NOT being able to hear door bells, seat belt alert, phone ringing. Today I can hear ALL those and more thanks to Dr. Ramirez

Horrible. What a waste of time and money. I tried to tell him about recent test results and he told me to 'Shush'. He ignored test results I hand carried and he wanted to do his own blood tests, but then didn't even call me with the results or refer me to a specialist like he said he would. I physically went back to his office a week later to ask about results and the referral and was told he would call me. It's been almost two weeks and not a word from him. No meds for the sore ear and throat. I waited two months for this appointment and he did nothing!

Surgery experience
His straight forth approach and 'bedside manor elicited trust from my family as well as i . Before and directly after surgery I felt his calmness and confidence and it was a massive influence on my worry and fear. He cares and we felt it .his skill went long way to complete my procedure that took potentially serious turn for the worst . Staff no less competent

Poor Treatment
I’ve been to Dr Ramirez a few times every time the experience gets worst. Last visit I tried explaining something that happened to my ear while flying he laughed at me and walked out. Doesn’t want to take the time to listen I believe he doesn’t like anyone from the LGBTQ community I really get bad vibes from the doctor and the receptionist. The receptionist won’t call you back when you try to get an appointment I had to go in person and was told to wait to make an appointment she was busy. Just a note I was the only person in the office.

God send
Due to Dr. Ramirez's experience and knowledge with the issues I was having he was able to diagnose that I had GPA (Wegners) and help me seek the proper care for it, and personally had kept in touch through out the time of my hospital visits and treatments. Dr. Ramirez is by far the best Doctor I have seen in many years. I recommend him to all friends and family that talk of issues with their Eads, nose, or throats.

Never
I made an appointment with this Dr but he was rude, unprofessional and didn’t take me seriously in any facet of my appointment. I was embarrassed by his quest to make sure I use the rinse with saltine to clean all of my “bugg” in my nose. He did not answer the questions I asked and thought my statements were laughable. Made me feel dirty. I will never go there again and will make sure he is not recommended to anyone I can. Also I had to wait an hour after my appointment and if it was on the other end I would have been canceled after the 1st 15 minutes. I will NEVER go there for anything again. The areas I needed his knowledge was a joke for him I guess.

He spent less than 5 minutes with me. I have suffered from chronic ear infections my entire life. He spent two seconds looking in my ears and told me to get some ear plugs. When I asked a question he chuckled at me. I explained that I had experienced a sharp pain in my ear and he disregarded it. He spoke with a tone of superiority and made comments that were aimed to make me seen stupid. He was terrible, worst doctor I've ever seen.

The worst doctor I have ever had in my life. I had a staph infection and he prescribed a blanket antibiotic. I could not get him to explain the results of one of the tests I paid for. I begged for answers for weeks and tried to set up appointments. Their office said he called my phone and couldn't get through. I have zero missed calls. No care. No effort. Rushed appointments, and blanket prescriptions despite serious infections. Stay away. He is what is wrong with the medical world. Textbook bad doctor.
