Rude all around.
I was recommended to go to Dr. Oki because I am considered high risk bing 40+ and expecting my 5th child. I went to my 20 week ultrasound. I understand that Doctors should offer options and I don’t mind that, but this doctor really pushed for me to do extra testing for the baby to test for any physical or mental problems and I told him that I didn’t want to because it wouldn’t effect my decision to have the baby or not, and he very rudely responded and continued to try to guilt me into the test. Then while doing the ultrasound they pointed out what they called “anomalies” and then in the same breath said that it was common to see these things in ultrasounds. They try to manipulate you into decisions.

No value for your time!
This is the second time I was supposed to be seen in this office, the first time I waited over 2 hours in the waiting room with not a single explanation (I understand things happen but even just a “I’m sorry but the doctor is running late (obviously)” or whatever would have been nice. This second time, I got a referral and they never called. I called to schedule and they were booked but got me in. The day before my appointment after scrambling to find childcare and school pickups etc they said he had to leave early and I’d need to reschedule. They scheduled me for the following day for a 4pm appointment and told me if I had my paperwork filled out, I can show up right at my appointment time. I receive a call @ 3:38pm that I missed, no voicemail or anything. I immediately return the call (3:39pm) to get the answering service, even they didn’t know why they rolled the phones early. Show up at my appt time and they were nowhere to be found. What a joke. If you don’t have to, don’t go!

If you are the type of person that believes doctors are all knowing and you can 100% trust them then Oki is great. If you are the type that asks questions so you know what is happening with you and your baby, see someone else. His bedside manner is awful. He does not listen to your concerns and will brush them off. He has an arrogant attitude and it's clear that he believes he is always right, even when proven that he wasn't. My baby girl and I are healthy and alive and we very well could not have been with a different doctor. However, the experience of my pregnancy, hospitalization, and birth were not pleasant and for that I have him to thank.

My sister was referred to this Dr. TWICE for a HIGH RISK pregnancy. 10/22/18 and 10/28/18 both times being told it was URGENT. They never set up an apt. So my sisters OB told her to call them if they didn’t call by 2pm to get her in ASAP. They NEVER called back. My sister has now LOST her baby (miscarried) and I only wish the OB knew all the bad reviews this guy has..and that people have REPORTED him to the Medical Board. Please DONT go to this Dr.

1. OBGYN referred us to Dr. Oki bc I'm 36 years old in my 3rd pregnancy bc they use special equipment , but Dr. Oki said no it's not different. 1-hour lecture on all the possible genetic problems, followed by an hour long ultra sound that was the same as I received in my first two pregnancies with non-specialists. 2. Be ready for 30 minute wait after your appointment begins. 3. Closing lecture how kids over 35 is irresponsible. Any warning sign of problem and they suggest abortion isbest option

Dr. Oki has been my Perinatologist since my 16 week of pregnancy. Currently 28 weeks, we had an emergency that Dr. Oki was on top of the entire time. He is very knowledgeable, credible and truly cares about his patients. Very hard working doctor. His office called ME to schedule my follow up after the emergency. I can't say the same for other doctors on the case.

My son was diagnosed at 18 weeks gestation with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (no left ventricle). Dr. Oki REFUSED to accept our decision to continue with the pregnancy and allow our son to go through the 3 stage surgical process, calling both my obgyn and the pediatric cardiologist, insisting on an abortion. MY SON IS 19 YEARS OLD TODAY, HAPPY, THRIVING, LIVING! He wants to meet Dr. Oki to tell him HIS life was worth it. God made the choice, NOT Dr. Earl Oki. Beyond rude and disrespectful!
