Dr. Dwight Kemp, DO

Dr kemp did an excellent knee replacement. I walked out of the surgery center and after a couple of weeks, I'm almost completely healed. Dr kemp answered all my questions and gave me information I needed t prepare and recover after the surgery.

I had a shoulder replacement that Kemp did that had to be redone completely. He did a complete hip replacement that now has to be revised.

Not to be trusted. He lied to me. Asked me to lose 50lbs before he would do much needed knee replacement surgery. I lost the weight and he congratulated me and handed me a list of pre-op tests that I needed to have done. He told me to make a pre-op appt. The day of the appointment (1 hr before), his nurse calls and tells me that his notes state that I needed to lose 50 more pounds before he'd do surgery! I worked so hard to get the weight off. I spoke with him by phone and mentioned that my sister just had a knee replacement done in S.C. and did really well despite being overweight. He said, "Maybe you should go to South Carolina and have YOURS done!" He was so rude and uncaring. He most likely realized that I am a Medicaid patient and he would not get much reimbursement on a knee replacement. He offered no help with the pain (no injections, therapy or medication). I am sure that he did not think I would come back to him 50 lbs thinner in 7 months when he first told me to lose weight.

Dr Kemp treats like a person mot a number. He has performed two arthroscopic knee surgeries,total hip and carpotunel surgery on me .

Dr. Kemp is a very wonderful doctor. I got hurt on my job and he has been treating me ever since He never rushes in n out. He takes his time to explain everything tp me and my husband . He always takes the time to answer any questions we may have. I would highly recommend him to anybody nneeding. Orthopedic help

Unfortunately, Dr. Kemp's office had us do over two hours worth of paperwork only to tell us they would not do the surgery. This decision was based on them not even looking at the paperwork that was so diligently filled out. They asked a partially paralyzed patient to lose over 75 pounds, which is impossible for him to do. The office has wasted our time and now we have to find someone more proficient in their practice to help this patient have a little less pain in their life.Very disappointed
