Dr. Dustin Bonzo, MD

Skilled care staff raved about Dr, encouraged me to make him my new GP. Dr. prescribed a necessary med., interrupted his day to help discharge patient early. But what happened next shocked everyone. We had our first out of skilled care appointment. The 87 year old man was recovering from a fall with 6 cracked ribs, a yeast infection from IV antibiotics, had a few other minor issues, needed a pressure wound examined, aftercare plans, therapy referrals. The day before appointment, we signed papers to leave our previous GP, have all records sent, had recent tests printed in case records didn’t arrive, organized all meds to bring. I had list of questions. Patient decided to go to the bathroom right when I told him we were leaving. he’d had plenty of chances before that & maybe already gone. So that’s it. He can’t be hurried. We were 10 minutes late. Dr refused him permanently as a patient leaving a man just released from hospital and skilled care with no doctor, a long car ride, no care

Dr Bonzo was my doctor for about three months, he finished his residency and moved away. He was far advanced in my opinion for a resident doctor of Salina, he was also very informed. I certainly wished I could have followed him which I must confess is a rare statement for me to say for any doctor in Salina (that I personally have seen). He had great bedside manners, spent adequate time with me, asked questions and seemed to generally care about his patients. He's a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Bonzo is an outstanding family practice physician. His warm and friendly approach immediately puts patients at ease. He truly listens, takes time to explain, and genuinely cares about their well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bonzo to anyone and everyone.
