Condescending and disrespectful

I unfortunately had a terrible experience with Dr. Kleeman. He started the appointment by immediately telling me that what I was asking to be seen for didn't make any sense based on my chart without even asking me a single question about my symptoms. He was incredibly condescending throughout the appointment and I felt unheard, disregarded, and deeply disrespected. Don't go to him if you want a doctor who will actually listen to you.

Save time and find a different physician
The one star reviews here are all on par with my experience as well. Dr. Kleemann interacts and responds like he’s memorized a textbook and has no capacity for context, nor the ability to have an actual conversation or help the clarify health concerns. If you say “X,” he says “Y,” and anything beyond that is simply “too complicated” for someone with a medical degree to discuss. He has been especially responsive to procedure (eg. scheduling follow up appointments or check-ups), but he has yet to attempt to answer or discuss any question I’ve had about several health concerns I am trying to sort out.

I concur with all 1-star reviews here. Doug is a family physician staging as an orthopedic provider. Interrupted me multiple times, imposed his handouts while "guessing" my diagnosis, required me to complete months of useless PT, belittled and disregarded my back pain, blamed ME for ever developing the pain in the first place. His bedside manner needs improvement. It is unfortunate that he is a provider.

Dr. Kleemann may have many years of experience but this did not translate into any thoughtful advice during my visit. Instead of gathering facts about my medical concern and trying to address possible solutions, he came in the door seeming to know everything about me from my file. On top of this, his bedside manner could use drastic improvement. He talked down to me, interrupted me, and made me feel dumb for even making an appt. He provided no help with my condition & I would not see him again.

I am very pleased Dr. Kleeman's care. For instance, I have ~high cholesterol but had stopped taking a statin years ago due to statin associated leg pain. He solved that problem to great satisfaction. As well, there are several other medical issues that he has addressed with uncommon knowledge and attention. He is also an excellent educator—and sometimes drawing a graph or image to illustrate an important point. I simply have the highest confidence in his care.

Total waiting time: 30 minutes Total time spent on diagnosis: 4 minutes The overall experience was overwhelmingly negative. Kleeman comes across as impatient and untrustworthy. He does not seem to have time listening to patients' symptoms. As a result, it is difficult to trust his professional judgement and prognosis. The quality of service provided leaves a lot to be desired and Kleeman would we well advised to start taking his job more seriously.

Dr. Kleemann is wonderful! I have seen him several times over the years with various injuries and ailments and he is always great at coming up with a treatment plan and making sure I understand all of my options. He is very good at explaining things (he likes to print out diagrams of muscles/bones and show you exactly what he thinks you sprained/strained). I feel like he listens carefully to the activities I want to return to and comes up with a plan to get me where I want to be.

I had a brief appointment with Dr Kleeman, and the whole interaction were extremely unpleasant. He came off as extremely impatient with my questions and condescending with no interest in whether I improved. Medically I was prescribed the proper advice, but I will definitely not be going back.
