Extremely poor followup
The visit was unremarkable but my numerous attempts to converse with Dr. Henshaw post imagining to discuss the outcome and potential treatment were fruitless. I have never had a physician totally ignore calls or try to help alleviate pain. I find his behavior utterly unprofessional.

A regrettable negative experience
Dr. Henshaw is a competent surgeon. In my opinion, though, his follow-up skills are seriously inadequate. This is based on a specific set of reasons. I found my last appointment with him to be disturbing and unacceptable. I’ve opted to provide few details since this is a public forum. I profoundly wish I had selected a different physician.

Unlike many orthopedists Dr. Henshaw has a good personality and shows concern for patients. He treated me like a human being which is more than I can say for his colleague who performed a knee replacement on me unfortunately. I found Dr. Henshaw's surgical skills to be excellent. It is important to note that you see his Physician Assistant a lot more than you see him--at least in my case. It turned out to be okay since he was very good and knowledgeable.

Dr. Henshaw is very kind and truly listens to his patients. John, his PAC, is also very kind and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them both. Michele, the office scheduler/adminustrator is pleasant and efficient.

Will not recommend this doctor. I have been to his office twice, both times waited for more than an hour. Then he sends in a resident instead. I insisted to see Dr. Henshaw, he game me a shoulder injection. It helped, but not completely, so I came back. I explained that I'm still in a lot of pain to what he answered : At this point I can only offer you my support...no other treatment options or medical advice was given. Emotional support I can get from my family, and without paying, very upset
