Dr. Douglas Haghighi, MD

Dr. Haghighi has provided great service with caring personal attention. He has a diverse background and much experience. I have some difficulty with the three divisions of his practice. The business department, the office staff, the care providers. The business office of the practice does not communicate with the office staff 5' away across the hall. It is difficult to call and speak to a staff member, or leave a message fro Dr.Haghighi. They have different phone numbers.

Could not recommend any higher.Dr Haghighi is super knowledgeable, and very consistent. He is no nonsense and the office runs well. I have had multiple procedures with excellent attention and results. Basically, I trust him with my life.

You have promised to open a clinic in Fairbanks? What's the holdup?

(First appointment) The wait time was low and my nurse was very sweet. That said, the doctor himself was incredibly rude and dismissive. He ignored all my suspicions and inappropriately kept repeating how inaccurate my guesses were, only to not go into any detail about another option or potential cause. He made extremely inappropriate assumptions of my lifestyle and suggestions based on it. Lastly he said how I was there for his opinion in response to my concerns. I left feeling on edge of tears and requested a transfer same day. Will never see or recommend this man.

Dr. Haghigi is an exceptional physician who literally saved my husband's life. While other doctors hadn't a clue as to what was occurring, he immediately knew the proper steps to take for resolution. Highest recommendation!

Dr H is terrific. Kind & caring. He’s an excellent diagnostician. Treats all of his patients respectfully. His nurse and scheduler are very professional, and do a great job dealing with a heavy patient load. We very much appreciate their kind consideration.

I am a retired hospital RN and I was terrified to get an endoscopy and colonoscopy for the first time. Dr. Haghighi was such a great listener and never made fun of my fears; he provided a plan for the procedure in reference to my anxieties. I saw him as a patient the second time for chronic nausea. Again, he listened carefully to my problems and never made me feel rushed. Both times he was there at my side before and after each procedure sharing his observations. Great bedside manner.

I had been having intestinal problems and had seen several different "specialists" over more than two years that could not diagnose my problem. Within 15 minutes of my first meeting with Dr. Hagaghi, he had a diagnosis and put me on a daily supplement. It is an extremely mild medication that I will need to take from now on, but he solved a problem that had stumped everyone else.

My wife and I have both had procedures with Dr. Haghighi and found him to be excellent. He is friendly, thorough and personable. I made the mistake of having my first one in Alaska done by another doctor when Dr. Haghighi's schedule didn't fit mine (even though he was who my physician referred me to) and it was a disaster. We can't recommend him highly enough!

Dr. Haghighi went above and beyond in his care with me between January and May 2016. He is extremely good at differential diagnosis and you can tell that he loves his job. On my last visit he sat and counseled me for well over 30 minutes and made sure I was ok emotionally before I left his office. I highly recommend him to all family, friends and colleagues.
