Excellent job on hip replacement- comprehensive compassionate care. Dr. V provided a pain management system that enabled me to move quickly. Reminded me that moguls are not my friend anymore!

Very competent surgeon. Rather brusque and preoccupied at times. Made me feel bad with disparaging remarks about having to see me a a medicare patient.

I suffered a severe knee fracture in an accident with the dog at the dog park. I showed up on Doug Vermillion‘s doorstep after getting an opinion elsewhere. He took me in and his team treated me like I was the only patient they had. Pre-op and post-op the staff performed like a top notch medical team. And to give some perspective, I am a retired ortho nurse, so my standards are set pretty darn high. I would recommend this clinic and this professional medical staff to one and all.

He is simply the best with knees, shoulders and hip. Extremely low infection rates!

Knowing Dr. Vermillion for going on 15 years, and having had the bad luck to need 5 orthopedic surgeries in that time, and multiple nonoperative fractures, there is no one I would rather have taking care of me. Friendly, skilled, always willing to be available to you as his patient. He always made sure that I was comfortable before he gave away his pain management to anesthesia. That was a mistake. He did a far better job at it than they do. Still, I trust him, I walk and work thanks to him

When I had hip surgery in January of 2016, Dr. Vermillion was the only Premera in-network orthopedic surgeon in Anchorage. That saved me big bucks!! He is one of the best in Anchorage, and more concerned in delivering excellent patient care than enriching himself.

I would not recommend this doctor for anything. Doctor and doctors office would not work with the insurance company to sort out insurance issues. Multiple attempts were made to acquire this information but doctor/ office would not call them back or provide the info.

Dr Vermillion came highly recommended by two of my coworkers. He and his staff are friendly and professional. The outcome of the surgeries on both my coworkers and myself were excellent. I like his attitude and treatment options, both he and his staff take time with you as a patient. He has my trust.
