Breast cancer and radiation patient. This doc made my untreated breast look as bad as my treated one.

I had cancer in both breasts. Dr. Bird did the reconstruction. Recovery was tough, but the result is very good. She made cancer more bearable. She is a very sweet person and makes you feel like you are her only patient. She takes her time with consults and answers all questions. Microsurgery is a very long procedure. She is a trooper for hanging in there. I refer to her as an artist and an architect. She not only makes you look good but also constructs well so it will last. She has such a talent. I would recommend her to anyone. Cancer was a tough pill to swallow, but she was with me every step of the way encouraging me.

My journey with Dr. Bird was great. From my initial consultation where she went over the different options with me for breast reconstruction, to Diep Flap surgery and recovery. Her bedside manner is unmatched. She answered all of my questions, and addressed my concerns. I could not be happier with my experience.

Dr Bird is an excellent surgeon. She is also very compassionate, listens and answered all my questions. She made me feel like I mattered and wasn’t just another patient.

Dr. Bird literally rebuilt my breasts from scratch during the DIEP flap process. She is an extremely skilled surgeon *and* artist. My results were wonderful. Dr. Bird was also very supportive, detail oriented, funny, and receptive to all of my needs. I can honestly say that every single day when I look at my breasts, I am incredibly happy that I chose Dr. Bird as my surgeon.

Dr. Bird has been amazing throughout the time of my care. She has been patient, attentive to my needs, and willing to answer any questions or concerns that have arisen. During the most difficult experience of my life, I could not have asked for a better doctor and I would recommend her to anyone.
