Dr. Donnie Beaubrun, MD

One star for showing up in a timely manner. I was re-establishing care with Dr. Beaubrun. My previous experience with her was great. She listened to my concerns and was very responsive to my needs. That was the main reason I wanted to reconnect. But I don’t know what happened. She was very rude and disrespectful to me. I am hard of hearing and it was very difficult to hear her through her mask. And while she barely even looked at me when I’d ask her to repeat herself she actually showed signs of being exasperated (sighing and looking up at the ceiling) and repeated herself by yelling. I informed her that I moved uptown since I last saw her and she immediately tells me I need a Dr. uptown. There was so many other things she did that truly offended me. Maybe she was having an off day or she didn’t find I fit her preferred caliber of patients anymore. Highly disappointed.

I was devastated when Dr. Donnie Beaubrun left her prior practice where I had been a patient for a few years. My December 2023 annual physical appointment was several weeks after her last day. I looked for her for months presuming there was a non-compete clause in place so she couldn't contact patients. I gave up after a few months but did finally look again and found her in August 2024 (prompted by a friend mentioning coronary artery calcium scan) and was able to get an August apppointment. I have no persistent health issues and take no medications. I had my blood work done in December at my gynecologist appointment since I had been reluctant to even look for a new primary care doctor all this time. I've also used the same dental office for over 20 years. I do not like change when I find medical providers that I like. I received a referral for the cardiologist for the CAC test that I want to have done and made an appointment for September.

She listened to everything I had to say and addressed them all by giving me needed referrals I now feel optimistic about improving my health issues for the first time.

My first visit with this Dr. make me so comfortable and at ease, but she left my clinic so soon. I am hoping to follow her in some future.
