Super nice and professional
He is such a great surgeon and gave me a very good surgical experience. He can explain the complicated medical terms in simple and clear words. He talked to me with patience and super kindness. His caring attitude gave me a lot of encouragement and comfort. He is trustworthy. I’m in recovery now and feeling well.

I never met the surgeon I was supposed to have because I changed days. I thought what If that surgeon was better. After reading up on Dr. Stepan I was grateful I got him! He is in charge of all the surgeons at Kaiser and the on call surgeon at Overlake. He is very Personable and a Great Surgeon! I highly recommend him!!

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Stephan. He is a Excellent surgeon. I have never had surgery before but I feel really lucky that his work is Perfect. He is very attentive and has a good bedside manner. When I woke up from surgery he was right there to see how I was doing. Overlake hospital and all the nurses that took care of me are Top Notch!

Dr. Stepan is a Kaiser doctor who works in the Overlake ER. You will not have in-network coverage despite having to utilize his services as the only on-call surgeon in an emergency situation. Kaiser also refuses to negotiate out-of-network charges and is difficult to deal with if you are not a member. Even trying to get a return to work clearance from his office was a nightmare because I am not a Kaiser member and kept being told they "can't find [me] in the system."

I can trust Him very much. Explains things very well, is a kind and nice person. Has a excellent bed side manner. I would want DR. Stepan again if I ever have to go through another surgery.
