Excellent surgeon!
When I visited Dr. Ravasio, he took the time to listen to my questions regarding my knee injury. He gave me a thorough exam, identified the various options I had, and treated me as he would “treat his sister”. I have yet to have this knee injury reoccur! In this day and age of doctors rushing to do surgeries, or not taking the time to actually listen to their patients needs, it was SO refreshing to feel like I was in good hands, and treated as conservatively, yet appropriately, as required based on my injury. I wish I could have a “Dr. Ravasio” for all of my sub specialty needs!

Terrible visit! Would NOT recommend.
I saw Dr. Ravasio for a hip injury. When I got there, he never even bothered doing a physical exam. He insisted that my MRI showed nothing wrong. He was completely dismissive of me and told me that I need to see an OBGYN. Of course I'm a 35 year old woman so the pain MUST be my period! I was furious! He told me that hips are his specialty and there's nothing there so he didn't know what to tell me and gave me the names of 2 other orthopedics. I went to one yesterday and it turns out that I have a hip condition (that he insisted I did NOT have) that completely shredded my labrum causing immense pain. I also damaged one of my core muscles and have a pinched nerve due to the condition on my hip! The other orthopedic showed me all of this on the MRI that Ravasio saw and insisted showed nothing. What a hack! If hips are his specialty then he is a very poor doctor and obviously needs more training!

Excellent surgical outcome! Coming to Dr. Ravasio for emergency knee surgery after a freak, accidental fall on vacation (with a shredded patellar tendon and broken lower, displaced patella), my chance for full recovery was, at best, "iffy", considering I am a female over 60 with osteoarthritis. Both the surgical outcome and my recovery have exceeded my expectations. I could do just about everything after only 7 weeks post surgery, and am continuing to improve in physical therapy. Dr. Ravasio's post surgical scheduled appointments are not allotted a great deal of time, (I blame insurance company/health networks for that) but any post-visit question one might have will be answered thoroughly and in a timely fashion by Dr. Ravasio and/or staff PA online.

Met Dr Ravasio when he treated my elderly father's shoulder. Years later, looked him up after I injured my knee. He's a fantastic Dr, whole office in Canonsburg is very nice. I'm not a shy patient, have told more than one Dr to sit back down, I'm not done. But haven't had one visit with Dr Ravasio where I felt rushed, or that he wasn't giving me the time I needed. My knee is a chronic condition, hopefully he's the only Dr I'll have to see about it. I like him, I trust him.

I went to Dr. Ravasio for severe pain from a knee injury that sent me to the ER previous night. I yelled in pain when he touched me, but told him to do what he had to do to examine me. He didn't say he was sorry for hurting me, just gruffly said he couldn't examine me if I was in pain. When I asked him what he thought the possible problem was, to try and give me some piece of while waiting for an MRI to diagnose, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I have no idea". I will never go back.
