Excellent physician, but disappeared.
Dr. Northfelt was my primary care physician 1995-2002 approx. He disappeared from his Palm Springs, Ca. practice. Rumor eventually indicated that he'd relocated to Phoenix and that another local doctor had my file. Only after I attempted to secure an appointment did I verify his absence and, later, my file's rumored location. My experience is common to friends who also saw Northfelt professionally.

The patient will never see him even after scans, a NP will be your Dr. He promises to do things that never get done. Basically he is AWOL. I had to remind his office that I had scans due..fired him after all that.

Compassionate, leader of cutting edge care for breast cancer at Mayo Clinic, and delivers individualized , resourceful patient centered plans. Dr Northfelt spends good time with his patients, whatever l time needed to answer every question until satisfied. He makes you feel like there is nothing more important than you at this visit. No sugar coating , but appropriate optimism. I've worked along side him as a colleague and now that I have breast cancer, he was my doctor of choice.

Dr. Northfelt accommodated us during an unscheduled visit after a very long day. He treated us with compassion and care. He was very astute, clinically data driven, and took the time to explain his rationale behind his thoughts. We really like & trust him!
