Dr. Donald Johnston, DO

Dr. Johnson and his assistant have been very upbeat and friendly, quicly puts you at ease. Based on my two visits, my confidence is high in his skills and ability and I am looking forward to getting my shoulder issue fixed

This doctor has absolutely no empathy at all. Does not know how to interact with people in pain at all. According to him heat is never used for joint pain. Gosh someone should tell all the physical therapists on the planet not to use heat. The first thing the PT I saw for same condition did in our sessions was apply heat. I made the mistake of asking for some pain medication because what I am taking is not working. He harped on the opioid crisis for the rest of the appointment and refused to prescribe pain medication. Did not even ask what I was currently taking or even bother to look at list of medications I provided, just said "I dont prescribe pain medication"

Doctor Johnston did my rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder in February of 2018 .Great outcome no therapy needed shoulder like new. Monday Aug 27 2018 he did my replacement knee surgery went home wednesday my flexion was at 120 degrees 2 days after surgery. Great Doc,talks to me, listens and explains things to me until I understand . very Happy

I went to Dr Johnston when he was with a different medical group. H treated my knee with shots but told me it wouldn't be too long before I needed a tital knee replacement. I was impressed with his interaction with me. He was gentle, explained everything throughly, and truely listened to me. He never rushed me. I had my operation amoust three weeks ago and everything went perfect. Rehab is going well. I think the review from Atlanta, GA had the wrong Doctor.

Unless you want the whole waiting room to know what you are being seen for....do not see this doctor. Thought I was having my visit right out in the waiting room with his staff trying to diagnosis me.
