Dr. Donald Johnson, DPM

My friend has been going to doctor Johnson for years. He recently had ingrown toenail removed. He called office and said it was infected and given an appointment weeks away. His toe was so infected he had to be taken to hospital. The infection was in his blood and bones and he had to have the big toe amputated. So sad.

Dr J is awesome. He’s got this kind of laid-back surfer vibe and after having multiple orthopedic surgeons who had their fellowship and foot and ankle not be able to figure out what the heck was wrong with my previously broken foot, he figured it out in one visit. Now I always go back for my check up and we love Dr J! Highly recommended.

I had foot surgery in 2019 that was not to my satisfaction. I had shoes I could not wear because the flat tab would not go between my toes as designed. The second toe was on top of the first and the third toe was under the second. With all other shoes it was crowded in the toe area. I found another Doctor that I felt comfortable with. Dr. Don Johnson performed surgery in Feb. 2021 to repair the previous surgery and I am very happy with the result. My toes are now straighter and in the right position. Dr. Johnson repaired it all. Additionally, everyone in the offices (Port Orange and Ormond) were wonderful. I spoke with Christie on numerous occasions, and she always gave me an accurate answer and was extremely helpful and accommodating. All of the staff in the two offices were pleasant also.

Dr Johnson Jr is a wonderful doctor. He takes time to explain procedures and listens to any and all concerns. Highly recommend Dr. Don Johnson Jr.

As a patient, it can be frustrating to find a good doctor that is well established and has a good report with his/her patients. Dr. Johnson not only meets those qualifications, but also exceeds them. Dr. Johnson went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was nothing but top notch. I've had many bad experience with podiatrist in the area, almost making me not want to address my situation. After meeting Dr. Johnson and getting the best medical attention, my life has changed for the best

Dr. Johnson is one of the finest podiatrists I've had in my 47 years as a type-1 diabetic. In those 47 years I've lived in a number of cities and in each I've been fortunate to have good foot care but none superior to Dr. Johnson. An example was my recent two-bacterial infection that threatened to reach the bone. He created a more favorable route and thereby diverting the infection away from the bone and quite possibly saving my foot. Wish I'd had him when I had my 2nd charcot foot.
