Our children have seen Dr. Fahler since we moved to West Lafayette 5 years ago. They are very comfortable with him, he makes a point of engaging them in conversation, and he's even willing to discuss important health things with them (like their need to eat more veggies). As a parent, I find him to be reasonable and understanding, and I always feel he's willing to take the needed time to discuss any concerns that come up. He's also got a good staff working with him (we occasionally see Mallori Walker instead of him, and she's also been great). The wait times are the only thing that isn't always perfect - there have been times when we've waited quite a while to see him. Otherwise, no complaints.

He treated me like my sibling which lead to prescribing the wrong meds which caused severe psychological side effects. He said that he was "happy that I cried" in an appointment. Overall, he's good at his job, but he has a very cisgender heterosexual mindset, meaning he assumes people are in heterosexual relationships, and he uses extremely gendered terms and to me, he seems uncomfortable with people exploring their gender and gender expression. He truly does care about his patients, but sometimes he's gotten too comfortable to the point of him overlooking key things or shifting the conversation towards himself. He's been good about trying to make spaces for appointments when needed and is a positive person.

Dr. Fahler is extremely kind and thorough. He is very sweet to my daughter, and he seems like he really enjoys his job and cares about children. I am not sure that this review from 7/27/17 is legitimate, and I would take it with a grain of salt. This man has a very calm demeanor, and frankly, his delivery is always sort of quiet and mellow, even at times when my child was screaming and carrying on. I have a hard time believing that he raised his voice or claimed to not care about this person's child. He has never even given a hint of exhibiting this kind of behavior. I cannot speak for the person leaving this review, but I do think someone is just upset and hitting below the belt.

We truly like Dr. Fahler. My daughter has gone to him for 19 months now. My only complaint is that three times this far we have had to wait about an hour in the room before we get to even see him. Other than that, he is very informative and patient. He interacts with my daughter well, and I am happy that we chose him as her primary doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Fahler's a kind & compassionate Dr. He refers when necessary when it's out of his scope of practice. He gives good advice to follow through on. For some reason, my grandson will not be seeing him again. My grandson had respect for Dr.Fahler. It will be difficult to explain why because I don't know why? I hope it wasn't the deferred anger online. Not fair.

We have only seen Dr. Fahler a couple of times, since he is not my children’s primary. However, both times he was very attentive and thorough. He seemed like he truly wanted to help and interacted well with my children. He even followed up with us to see how my son was doing after one of the appointments.

We saw doctor Fahler from 2013 - 2015 when we lived in West Lafayette, IN. During the time, we were very happy with Dr Fahler. He was very attentive, never rush in the appointment, shows care and respect to parents. After examining our son, he always took the time to ask if we as parents have any question or concern, and he addressed all of them and provided suggestions. When we had to move to other state, the first thing i was very worried about was if we can find a pediatrician as good as him.

Dr. Fahler exhibited very unprofessional behavior during the 2/2 visits we have had with him. In my many years of parenting, many visits to pediatricians, I have never encountered such an odd Pediatrician. He contradicted himself, raised his voice for absolutely no reason. Told me that he did not care about my child. Thankfully, I went with my instincts and politely left mid-appointment. We will stick with our regular doctor. Although a bit harsh, I would not trust Dr. Fahler with any child.

Between my kids Dr Fahler is the 6th pediatrician we have been to. My son was terrified of Drs until we went to Dr. Fahler. He took 20 minutes talking to my son before he even tried to exam him- that tells you everything about the kind of Dr that he is. Appts never seem rushed, and he is very thorough. He is also up to date on latest research. I am baffled by the negative review b/c that is not our experience with him or his staff. I am really sad that we moved and can't see him anymore.

Our toddler has been seeing Dr. Fahler since he was born. I have been thrilled with my experiences with Dr. Fahler. He is actively engaged in conversation, addresses my concerns, explains information clearly, and I appreciate that he engages in conversation with me in a very professional (not at all condescending) way. I have been pleased with how all of our baby well visits have been handled. We have visited for illness on 2 occasions and Dr. Fahler has been wonderful. I cannot say enough

I have wanted to switch from this pediatrician for 3.5 of the 4 years we have seen him, but I was too lazy...or tired. My first negative experience involved a cancellation for a well visit booked months in advance with no appointment available before 3 months...we saw the NP instead. The second incident involved the doctor not following up with me about a recommendation he said he'd check on and the third incident is his condescending way of communicating with parents. I am done.
