Exceptional!!!
I'm months behind in leaving this review, but Dr. Blum's treatment of my son was simply exceptional and I wanted everyone to know. My son had a damaged toenail that needed to be removed (it was hanging off). He tends to be a bit apprehensive, but Dr. Blum's 'bedside manner' put him right at ease. Dr. Blum communicated directly with my son, while not excluding me, creating instant rapport and trust. He explained what needed to be done, told him the process would be quick (and virtually painless). He then asked my son if he wanted him to numb the big toe. He said the numbing would probably be more painful than the removal. My son elected to have it numbed, which Dr. Blum cheerfully did. Again, he was simply exceptional. I don't hesitate to recommend Dr. Blum to family and friends.

Yikes. Nice enough guy, kinda gruff. He is doing all his own front office work, and seemed fairly distracted by it. Had a partial nail avulsion for an ingrown toenail (no infection, just occasional irritation); I now wish I hadn't had the procedure at all. I don't think I had good aftercare info in the first place, I had to be proactive and call back for advice on wound care and pain management after the procedure. I developed a secondary infection after our follow up appointment where he reopened the wound to "get the redness out" and that it would be better after 5 more days of wearing a bandage before being fully healed. 4 days after our appointment there was enough pain, pus and redness I left work and went to urgent care. I'm now on oral and topical antibiotics, and if the wound doesn't begin to heal soon I'm going to need to find another provider to do debridement.

Compassionate, skilled professional. Performed 1 procedure ending 2 months of ingrown toenail pain Was my second opinion. I left our first meeting in no pain(local anesthetic) and returned to all my activities in 2 days-pain free! Second visit- explained biopsy results, gave instructions re: prevention . Lone office assistant gave the local smoothly -joking to distract me. This active 80 year old probably will be back-with a new problem someday. This time I know where to START.!
