Dr. Don Lagrone, MD

Doctor Lagrone was my first psyc doctor in 2004 and I was in bad shape. The medication he prescribed the first time made me feel better, he is an excellent doctor the best in his field! He was my doctor for many years when he was coming to Wharton Texas. He transferred back to Houston and I had to have my daughter take me, his office was to far to drive after work. I had to transfer to another doctor but still miss Doctor Lagrone!

Always listens to everything before making decisions.

It used to be easy to make an appointment to see Dr. Don LaGrone. Now, I can't even get anyone from his office to answer the phone.

Dr Lagrone is wonderful and I'm completely satisfied with his treatment and the service his practice provides. I've found him to be the ideal clinical psychiatrist. However, in the past year they have hired this woman Joanna. She answers phones and, I suppose, was selected to replace the much nicer (older) woman who'd historically answered phones (etc). Frankly, I have found Joanna to be unacceptably rude, generally unreliable, and fundamentally lazy. PLEASE GIVE JOANNA THE BOOT!!!!

Staff was very rude and unprofessional. I asked Joanna for the processing time for medical records and she told me she didnt know. So I asked for an office manager Joanna told me there was no office manager and hung up the phone. I called back twice and she hung up on me both times. On the third time she picked up and when I asked her about hanging up on me she said their lines were really busy. I find this so appalling. It is sad that this is the only way to rely a message to their office.

Dr. Lagrone is an excellent psychiatrist. He is very knowledgeable, has excellent clinical skills, and is very personable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Dr. Lagrone to anyone needing psychiatric services.
