Telehealth
Initially, I had confidence in Dr. Rani's ability to listen and work towards solutions. However, as time passed, I began to feel more like a billing opportunity rather than a patient in her care. Over 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma and have been undergoing treatment to reduce the tumor size through medication, as well as managing thyroid hormone replacement due to its effects. While the tumor has significantly decreased since I started seeing Dr. Rani, I was eager to discuss potential next steps in my treatment journey. Unfortunately, during our discussions, Dr. Rani adopted a very direct approach, emphasizing the dire consequences of not adhering strictly to medication, stating I would die! This approach felt discouraging and unhelpful. It seemed as though the focus shifted from my overall health to simply ensuring I continued to take prescribed medication. If you're seeking genuine concern for your health, I would continue searching for another doctor.

Very Judgmental and not helpful. She's very dismissive of your problems. Her only response is "lose weight" and "take the medication". I told her the medication makes me physically ill and her response was "oh". I left in tears that I had no one helping me manage my PCOS. I would advise that no one go to her, especially if you are in a vulnerable mental state needing help to manage your PCOS.

I have had wonderful experience with Dr. Rani since I changed doctors about a year ago. She's been informative and has taken the time I'm happy with. Plus, the staff has been really good and they get back with you quickly by phone or email through IU Health.

On multiple occasions Dr. Rani has been very dismissive and outright judgemental as well as rude. Her style of discourse is very aggressive. Never in my life have I been treated or spoken to by any medical profesional in this manner. Avoid her if you can and find a different endocrinologist.

My diabetes was out of control, I was on multiple oral meds and had been increased to 4 shots of insulin per day. My internal medicine doctor referred me to Dr. Rani. She now has me down to one shot per day and I'm feeling great. Wonderful and caring made the management of diabetes very simple to understand. Highly recommend.

She doesn't do anything to try to find out the true cause of symptoms. I have all the symptoms of hypothyroid--but yet she only checks TSH!!! It is normal. In the past it has always been normal, T3 and T4 are low though. Doesn't she know that TSH is NOT the only test used to determine hypo???? Does she not know anything about secondary hypothyroid??? She is a poor excuse for a specialist!!!!!!!!!!! She never even called with results-I found them online!
