Dr. Dithi Shetty, MD

Dr Shetty treated both my husband and I at Sunnyside Hospital for a very dangerous E. coli infection that could have caused us both to die. She was on top of everything she made personal telephone calls to us to make sure that we were OK when we went home from the hospital and she Made sure all our orders were current and answered any questions that we had we were very blessed to have connected with her. She is very professional and knowledgeable in her field, and I would recommend her to anyone who had any kind of infectious disease problem

She minimized what I’m going through because it’s not what she usually sees. How dare she! Prior to meeting me, she decided she wouldn’t be able to help me. After pushing to be heard and showing her odd things on my body she did some blood tests, gave antibiotics and said if all was negative and no improvement from antibiotics, she would order a scan to pinpoint the infection. When everything returned normal & no improvement from the antibiotic, she wouldn’t order the scan because she assumed insurance wouldn’t cover it. She did not even try. After 2.5 months being very sick, this scan would have been extremely beneficial. On top of that, she said she was happy everything turned out good?? …I was trying to inform her of all that was still wrong. She said at least it’s not a massive cancerous nodule. I informed her that we don’t know that yet, that scan is on Monday. She said it could be worse, I don’t have green pus coming out anywhere. And then walked out while I was asking questions.

When Dr. Shetty first walked into the exam room I was skeptical for she was the 3rd I'd seen there in a short time. Let me say that I am truly blessed she took my case. She didn't blink, she examined, determined and went forth with the plan for healing my rare disease. Three months later I still cry at the parts of my life she has given back to me that I just thought were forever gone. She's honest, intelligent as all heck and knows what she's doing and treats you like a real person with real fears and feelings.Today is my last day of treatment. I am truly blessed that The Lord in His Grace sent me to you. Thank you for giving my breath back Dr Shetty!!

It’s rare today to be blessed with a specialist who takes your general health into consideration, asks the right questions then listens, and exhibits confidence (not arrogance), experienced wisdom, knowledge and compassion. She was traveling when I was blessed under her care from an emergency I&D spine surgery. Dr. Shetty, if you read these. I am not sure the scope of your specialization or how I could work with you from a distance, but I have been fighting an uphill battle for over a year now and would be honored if you could help me find a diagnosis. Dr Shetty was a blessing to us. Her attention to detail in reading the tests and scans saved my husband from being paralyzed. She sent us to Rush Hospital in chgo and the neurosurgeon said, “the doctor that ordered the tests and found the abnormality is extraordinary “. That was Dr Shetty. She also took time to explain and reexplain everything so that we understood what was happening. We are forever grateful to her.

Dr Shetty is the most amazing Doctor I have ever seen! Her level of care is unmatched!!! I can not give her a rating that is high enough for her relentless determination to get me well when I was near death. If not for Dr Shetty I would have certainly died. I am so very grateful for her truly caring about my wellbeing and her immense knowledge that was above all her colleagues. I truly feel safer with her on my care team! To find a provider that listens and problem solves with you is hard to find! Every doctor I went to didn’t listen to me. I was anxious and uneasy with my symptoms and Dr. Shetty listened and talked me through it then treated me like I was as important as family! That is hard to find these days!!

Came in very very sick, this Doctor continued to research and test until she found the problem.

Dr Shetty is a Super knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. She was there for me and my family when we caught Covid. Very informative with steps we could take for our health as we dealt with the Virus. I know others that when they were sick, Dr. Shetty was there for them. Even on vacations, she was available over the phone to help in any way she could. I did have some friends contract covid and reached out to Dr. Shetty for advice and as always, she showed compassion and concern as she always does. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shetty as you will be in great hands and shown compassion which sometimes is hard to come by these days. Not only is she a Great Doctor, She is an all-around Great Person! Thank you for all your hard work!!!!

Dr.Shetty is very knowledgeable infection control doctor.She is very caring to her patients.I had experienced myself that even she was on vacation, she still responded to my call and message for the sake of patient’s welfare.She is also approachable.I am thankful for her help when I became a patient also,when I got Covid.

Dr. Dithi Shetty is an amazing physician. As an infection disease doctor, she has been very attentive during my husbands hospital stay, as well as during our out patient IV therapy and wound changing. Thanks to her dedication we were able to stay on top of my husbands infection in his wrist, adjust antibiotics when needed, continued to draw blood to keep checking levels, assessing every step of the way. We are going on 21 days, and she has been there every step of the way.

Dr.Shetty is brilliant and compassionate doctor. I have had the honor to work next to her with COVID patients and see her knowledge with this virus. Then when my own vaccinated/boosted immunosuppressed father got COVID she was there to help him. He spent 18 days in ICU and thankfully was not intubated. She made herself available to us whenever we had questions or concerns. Dr. Shetty, the nurses and the rest of the team saved my dad. I appreciate her for always staying up with the latest facts especially with COVID. She truly cares for all her patients and wants the best for everyone.

Dr. Shetty is a true professional. She made sure that my husband got the care he needed immediately. She was able to call on her team to make sure my husband got “same day”care. She asks questions and provides fully informed options for her patients. Even after the amazing care we received, she continued to check in with us to make sure we were getting the desired outcome we all hoped for. There are few doctors in our area who provide the level of care Dr. Shetty does. It is no wonder healthcare professionals from Seattle and Portland travel to our county for her care. There will never be enough ways to say thank you for the care she provides all of her patients.

Dr. Shetty is very knowledgeable and a brilliant doctor. She saved my life and was extremely attentive. She was very thorough and caring.

I want to start off by saying Thank you so so much Dr. Shetty. You literally saved my sons life. We live in tricities I took him to the emergency twice and both times got sent home. He was positive for covid and I was literally watching him slip away slowly. A good friend of mine mentioned little sunnyside I didn’t know what else to do no one was helping us here so we went and I’m so glad we did or my son probably wouldn’t be here today. He had a bacteria infection in both lungs along with pneumonia. His breathing was at 65% when I took his temperature it was at 102.7. Thank goodness for Dr Shetty and team they brought my son back. She didn’t just send us home she actually ran tests. If he would of got the proper care the first time we went in even the second time he wouldn’t have got how he did. Thank you Dr Shetty and team I 100% recommend you. I will drive to sunnyside anytime it was all worth it. My son is doing So much better cuz of you. Proper care matters.

Dr. Dithi Shetty is a very kind and compassionate physician. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Covid 19. Dr. Shetty immediately ordered the necessary labs and x-rays, and performed a thorough examination. After the medication and treatment my daughter received, she was feeling much better and no longer struggling to breath. I strongly recommend Dr. Dithi Shetty she is a very competent, thorough and caring physician.

I am so thankful that we are able to have Dr. Shetty who is such an amazing doctor right here in Yakima. She is dedicated, determined, and compassionate. When my mother had complications after surgery Dr. Shetty was the only doctor that was able to figure out what was wrong and the correct treatment plan. She absolutely save her life. Had Dr. Shetty not been there my mom and my kids grandma would not be here with us today. Her compassion and care extends even after treatment. Amazing!

Horrible infectious disease doctor. She doesn't even examine her patients.

I credit Dr. Shetty with saving my life. I was hospitalized for 6 weeks in 2016 with C-diff and related things such as a-fib, pneumonia, internal bleeding and an infected gall bladder. She was my infectious disease doctor. She came to see me virtually every day and ordered various tests and prescribed various antibiotics. She ordered the test that disclosed the infected gall bladder and they removed it the next morning. They say one more day and I would have died. Dr. Shetty is excellent!
