My 18 year old daughter has been nauseous for 4 months to the point where she gets worse from just water and is now having anxiety issues because of this. I’m constantly in the ER with her. Today I took her to the ER Presbyterian Dallas Hospital. After the nurse and PA saw her and ran labs and gave her saline and a half dose of the meds she’s already told them don’t work anymore we waited. 3 hours later I asked if the doctor was going to see her. We finally got to see Dr Dirk Perritt. The most condescending and unfeeling doctor I have ever met. He came in ten minutes later and said her labs were fine and she’s not losing weight so she’s obviously eating. I told him her labs are fine because every three or four days in have to take her to the ER and they give her fluids. The last thing she ate was a dry piece of toast three days ago. It’s like he didn’t even hear what I said. He said to follow up with the gastroenterologist as scheduled and that they were not going to admit her because it wasn’t an emergency. He told me to take her to a psychiatrist for evaluation and told her to go home and make herself eat. He left and she started crying to me that she’s not crazy and why won’t anyone help her. He was so cold and uncaring. He made my daughter feel like she was nothing and not worth his precious time. Her appointment with a GI specialist isn’t for another two weeks. In the meantime she can’t get up for work or school and is getting more and more depressed because of all this. And she gets stuck with doctors like Dr Perritt who just tell her to go home and put the food in her mouth. If I could give zero stars I would
