Thorough, Warm and Pleasant
Telehealth
Dr. Markov has a very calm, quiet and warm manner. His first question during my initial consultation with him, a sincere 'How can I help you?' set the tone immediately. He was very thorough regarding my history, and clearly explained the proposed testing and treatment plan. Great first consultation, and I am feeling confident in my care going forward.

Good Doctor, never had any issues. Very satisfied
Ive been seeing Dr Markov for about 2 years or so. Hes my first sleep doctor, so dont have much to compare him to, but hes been great. He has always taken the time to listen to me, and when some treatments havent worked, hes been open to exploring new options. I still don’t think Ive found the right combination, but he has never dismissed me or my feelings when I tell him a treatment isnt effective. I went to him after I graduated college and was experiencing daily sleep attacks at work regardless of the amount of sleep. I suspected I might have narcolepsy based on my research, and he was not dismissive of my opinion at all. I took the sleep test, was diagnosed, and he has been kind & helpful throughout my entire journey. Getting an appointment can be tricky sometimes, but overall he’s been a fantastic doctor. All of his reviews are poor, I suspect because no one has a reason to comment or rate him unless theres a problem. Well no problems here, Dr Markov has been awesome! I recommend

Extremely rude. Husband hasn’t slept much more than 2-3 hours a night for the past 6 weeks, Dr. Markov wouldn’t let him talk, saying be quiet you’re delirious you don’t know what you’re saying. At one point my husband broke down and cried out of sheer frustration over Dr not letting him speak. Also kept saying my husband needs to be admitted to a psych ward. Like what is wrong with you?! Husband is not in danger of hurting himself or others, it’s like this man is stuck in 1960’s medicine.

I had severe muscle pains, which might have been caused by sleep apnea. Dr. Markov was rude, did not listen to my symptoms or anything I had to say. Kept talking to the student in the room referring to me as "she" instead of talking to me directly. He insisted that I had depression. It turned out I have Sjogren's Syndrome, a chronic auto-immune disorder. This man is a shame for his profession and Jefferson's community. Avoid.

While he was kind enough to see me when my other doctor couldn't. He was unsympathetic, cold, refused to listen to how the patient felt. Refused to fill out paperwork because it was the first time seeing me, which is ridiculous! Honestly, I have more doctors then I can count and when I say it is in your best interest to never have this doctor as your doctor, I am given honest good advice!

He insisted my hypersomnia was due to depression. I was sleeping 50 hours at a time. Turned out to be neurological Lyme disease. On top of it all, he was unprofessional and rude.

He was convinced I had sleep apnea. Refused to listen. I had narcolepsy. Doesn't keep up with latest literature. Good sleep docs are so hard to find.

He is a terrible physician. He insisted that I had 'sleep aniexty'. I was music-diagnosed. Turns out I have severe sleep apnea. Run the other way.
