Dr. Dia Copeland, MD

Dia T. Copeland, MD, MBA is the expert gastroenterologist that performed an (ERCP) on my 97 year old dad. His abdominal pain was still a problem although his gallbladder was treated and drained under the care of another doctor for 12 weeks. When I spoke to Dr. Copeland on the phone in the age of COVID-19, I could immediately tell she was familiar with my dad's medical history and condition. I noticed Dr. Copeland had exemplary communications skills and described his bile duck blockage to me professionally and to my understanding. She answered my questions and when I asked her to spell or repeat the medical terms I found difficult she spelled out each letter in a word over the phone. Dr. Copeland's patience was helpful. She called numerous times before and after the procedure to give updates because we could not be present with my dad due to COVID-19. Dr. Copeland is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Copeland was a positive experience.
