Rudest, most uncaring doctor I’ve ever been to.
I was very excited when I found out Valley Medical Center would be receiving a new neuromuscular specialist. Upon my first meeting with him, he quickly second guessed my previous neurologist’s diagnosis (which, I feel, is accurate) and told me my medical problems were due to mental health and trauma. I’ve never been a psych patient or had any other major mental health issues. He treated me as though I was histrionic and acted in a patronizing manner consistently throughout the entire appointment. It was so weird. I’ve never had anyone speak down to me like that before. I’d love to see his Press Ganey scores as I’m sure they are reflective of his patient rapport. Maybe if I’d been a more “compliant” patient, he would have been kinder to me but I highly doubt it. He seems like he could be a smart guy but his bedside manner needs significant work. Such a shame he’s in medicine if he’s not going to use his skills to help people.
