Dr. Dennis Poquiz, MD

After 15 years of being a patient my wife was abruptly informed she is no longer a patient due to too many no shows. Further- when i called to discuss, i wasvtold when 1 family member is dropped, all are dropped, again no notification. I requested to speak to Dr. Poquiz and refused. Told i could not speak to him because i am not a patient any longer. Further informed this is Dr. Poquiz's policy, which is even worse. We have a low functioning autistic child with several underlying issues that have been monitored and treated by this office along with several maintenance meds the rest of the family has been treated for years. We found this out when trying to set a visit up. No notification, just forced to immediately try to find a new family doctor. Additionally i was told i would have to pay to get my medical records before release. I don't know if this is really Dr. Poquiz's idea of the policy because the staff will not even allow me to speak to him, whether by appointment. Stay away!

Just had my bi-yearly physical and health review at Lake Arlington Family Medical. Chris is my PA and she is wonderful! Completely reviewed all aspects of my present medical status, recommended health changes and formed a plan of action to address the issues. Great professionalism! A credit to Lake Arlington Family Medical and Dr. Poquiz's training. I would highly recommend Lake Arlington Family Medical and especially Chris to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dennis Poquiz for 14 years and he has been a caring doctor and has taken great care of me.

I've seen Dr. Poquiz for around 15 years. I have a high level of trust in his judgment and medical advice.

The girls who work at the front desk are VERY rude, and will not hesitate to get an attitude with patients. This happened to me on several occasions, not just once. I have never, ever left a negative review for anybody, but I feel obligated to inform potential new patients what they're getting when they visit/call this office. I will be finding another PCP, as this behavior is completely unacceptable and disrespectful. Beware.

Dr. Poquiz and his staff are very helpful and kind. They go beyond what they should. I would recommend this practice to any families looking for a primary care physician. -Ricardo C.

I have been a client for 20yrs. I love Nicole and Dr Poquiz is a very kind Doctor.

The front office is unprofessional and rude. There is a lot of fighting among the staff, even in front of the patients. I was out of town and needed to speak with Nicole about my care and the front office refused to transfer the call and even argued with me. I have since transferred drs. and now the office staff is refusing to transfer my medical records to my new doctor. Now I know why they haven't taken down the Welcoming New Patients sign, the office is running them away.

Very professional yet personable. Explains all medication uses and speaks clearly on any problems you may have. If I still lived in the area, Dr. Poquiz would be my first choice.
