Dr. Delphine Fontcha, MD

I recently move to Tampa and was looking for a physician for me and my kids. When I met Dr Fontcha I knew I found the right physician for my entire family. She is compassionate and very detailed. You could tell that she really care for her patients and will tell you the things as they are without sugarcoating.

I had a painful urination problem and was seen several times by the urologist with no relief until I came to the urgent care and Dr. Fontcha recommended a specific test and treatment that finally cleared my symptoms. Dr. Fontcha and her whole staff were very friendly during my visits and handled my situation with such a degree of professionalism that I've not only been bringing my whole family, I have also recommended her to friends and colleagues

Dr. Fontcha has terrible bedside manner. As an African American breastfeeding mother, she made me feel belittled and unheard. She suggested that I had herpes even though I informed her that my son has thrush and that I was showing symptoms of an increase of yeast in my body. As a person of color, going to the doctor is already a traumatizing experience. It makes the experience all the more awful when another woman of color questions you and denies your right to fair healthcare. I would never recommend this physician to anyone. Physicians like her are the reason why minorities will not get the vaccine and other life saving general healthcare measure. She is a part of the problem of deepening distrust between the medical field and people of color.
