Had an appointment to get refills for migraine meds. A few days before my appointment I began to experience abdominal pain from diverticulitis. When I told her I was having abdominal pain she commented that the appointment was for my migraines but she might be able to work in my abdominal pain issues. Might?! I am there in her office experiencing abdominal pain & she might be able to address this issue?! I’ve been seeing her for several years & have never been happy with her conduct. She never offers advice, I always seem to do all the talking. In fact she never seems to remember who I am or what my past and chronic issues are. After contacting my insurance company I will be switching doctors. Unfortunately I can?t get in for my new patient visit until June

New patient
I went to Dr. Sixta to establish care. I felt like I was talking and no one was listening. I’m sure disappointed because I have always had great care with Unity Point. She spent a max of 15 minutes but that was because I kept talking and repeating myself trying to get her to acknowledge anything I was saying.

Cold bedside manner
I went to see her as a new patient as I recently moved to a new town. This appt took 10 minutes is all. She didn't listen to my concerns or offer any recommendations. She basically asked about my medications and that truly is all. When I brought something up, she was very dismissive. I felt rushed. She is not caring. I will not be going back.

Dr. Sixta has been my primary doctor for 25 years. When I needed her to be my caregiver for something more complicated than just the sniffles she turned her back at me. She plays the “not my problem card” when working with other colleagues.
