Dr. Deborah Higer, MD

I went to this doctor for one specific reason that I made clear to her on day one. She said 'let me work with you' on that. Then did everything in her power and (believe me she thinks she is the almighty) to extract as much as she could from my insurance. Wanted me to schedule three different appointments before even addressing my issue. When she refused to refill a prescription until I had seen her the third time even though I had scheduled the appointment at HER earliest availability, she left me without my meds for two weeks. It became clear that in her little world it was her way or the highway, I gladly choose the highway. When I went to pick up my records for my new doctor, she wanted to charge me $20.00 to have her staff print up what could not have been more than a 4 medical record. Asked to fax them she said with a sanctimonious attitude 'I legally have 48 hours to do that'. Her staff, standing right there could have done it in mins. DONT LET HER MILK YOUR INSURANCE!

The worst doctor I have ever been to. Rude, answers (personal, not patient) phone calls during her visit, will be in and out of the room and have to re-ask questions, heard her yelling at other patients, bragged to me about how she can "get out of" paying her staff more than "they deserve", after talking to staff it is bare-minimum wage, if they can even get full hours. She made a disgusting comment about my wife's attractiveness, will never be coming here again.

Dr Higer can be very rude and aggressive with patience and several employees have complained to me about poor wages and very inapprorpiate overworking, including denying people breaks and the bare minimum time of their lunch breaks. She overworks her employees, makes creepy comments when examining body parts, and pushes to try to get you to take dozens of unnecessary tests to make more money.

I am first-generation out of three that has been with Dr. Higer. She is very straightforward, no fooling around. Very honest. tries to give you all sides of your situation. Darlene

Awful doctor whose license to practice should be taken away.

Dr Higer is a straight talking, no-nonsense rural doctor with 20+ years of experience with women’s health. She had helped me so much with my menopause journey.

When I see a book on Amazon with only 5 star and 1 star reviews, I buy it. Dr. Higer is a 5 star doctor but will be blunt with the truth, and some people can't handle the truth. She cares deeply and will do anything for her patients, friends and family. For my family, she has come in on a Sunday to stitch up a face laceration. She is the only one that could ever talk my youngest into a flu vaccine without a war. She has fit my 4 kids into her COVID vaccine schedule as soon as they became available. She is coming into her office on Thanksgiving morning to COVID test my family before we head out of town to visit elderly family members. She is a warrior in the COVID battle.

Dr Higer gave me referrals that did not meet my needs. It was a waste of my time and a disappointment.

Dr. Higer held a vaccination clinic this morning, and I was among the lucky recipients. What an IMPRESSIVE operation! Upon entering, I received a friendly greeting from Dr. Higer. The ambiance of her office is inviting, calming, and homey. Love the lavender bathroom! I was amazed at how perfectly organized the event was. Dr. Higer is the epitome of efficiency & effectiveness. Before vaccinating us, she gave a comprehensive briefing packed with clear information, describing the various vaccines, possible side effects, and the latest CDC guidelines. Especially useful was learning about the safest places to shop locally. After taking questions, she got to work, inoculating our group of 12 in minutes, cheerful all the while. She the extra mile and offered FREE masks as people exited. The entire experience was positive. Much applause and hearty thanks go to Dr. Higer and her staff. A+

Dr. Higer is a diamond in the rough. She is an advocate for the underserved and is sharp in her field of knowledge. She is true to her word, and follows through with the care you agree on. Her only agenda is working hard to providing the care you need.

She goes out of her way for her patients. Thoughtfully, listens and truly cares about her patients. Feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Higer is honest with me, even if it is something hard or I don't want to hear, I can always count on her to tell me like it is.
