Dr. Deborah Finklestein, MD

Not only is Dr. Finklestein a thorough and caring physician, she actually gives me concrete suggestions for improvement. Also, I find her scheduling system and assistant very responsive and easy to deal with.

It's great to have a reliable child and adolescent psychiatrist in the South Bay.

Another reviewer used the word, "destroyer," to describe "Dr." Finkelstein. How perfectly apt. This woman carelessly put me on six powerful medications and left me to die when everything went wrong. She didn't take or return my calls, or calls from the hospital doctors. She sent medical advice for me to a friend to relay to me, but didn't speak to me or my doctors when I was in crisis. Has anyone ever even heard of that happening? At best she is careless; at worst is malicious. I am lucky to have survived this inhuman practitioner.

Dr Finklestein seems out of touch with the health needs of her patients. She does not have any back up plan such as a fill in doctor when she is out on vacation, and leaves duties such as medication issues normally reserved for physicians with her receptionist. She seems to practice medicine on a “do as least possible with the least amount of effort at a maximum fee Acts as if she’s a bystander in my loved ones care. She would prescribe a medication that she never took before and never bothered to follow up like other doctors do to check if the patient is doing ok etc Reckless practice of suddenly stopping medication that has a warning not to abruptly stop as it can often be unsafe physically to do so. No heart. It’s all about the money for her. Of course we all know doctors should be paid but this doctor risked moved ones safety by withholding a medication in a attempt to have a small balance paid off without any effort to get her connected with other provider

Dr Finklestein is one of the very best psychiatrists in the South Bay.

A destroyer She practices conversion therapy for transgenders. She did this to me during her internship at Beth Israel, NYC. She should lose her license. She drove me to a suicidal state in 2005. Thank God she's out of New York.

Dr Finklestein is a very sensitive human being who is extremely intelligent, very friendly with a superb personality. She is certified both in General Psychiatry and Addiction Meficine. Her decision making skills are superb and the follow up is admirable. Having her as a speciality physician is very comforting. She is recommended without any reservation.
