Difficult, find a different doctor!
My appt was for a 2nd, 6-2024 opinion on a x-ray & diabetic nail care as a return patient. The nail tech was wonderful and deserved a 5 star. Dr Chapman on the other hand refused to look at the x-ray and said I would have to have them re-done in her office because they are a private practice. Like she didn't trust MVH! My insurance wouldn't pay for another set. I even offered to send for my records, but she refused. The Dr became very upset & argumentative that I already had nail care done even tho I gave them the A1C lab result. The Dr told me to go get a pedicure intead. I told her I got a fungus when to one went years ago. She was like, oh well & walked out the door! In the past my ins always covers nail care! The tech & I were shocked at her behavior. I feel like I was kicked out of the office and she blamed me for making an appt with her which was made by HER staff. I'm afraid to make another appt with her! Looking for a new compassionate podiatrist!

Might be competent
She might know what she’s talking about, but I was very put off by the sales pitches. Every room had something for sale in it or information about something that she was selling. Her waiting times were long And her Oakwood office was actually shabby.

Unprofessional staff
Jan 2022. My husband is the patient. Dr Chapman is competent but she seems defensive if you question her and she is rushed. SHe is very forceful in expressing herself. When she cut my husband's toenails they were crooked and badly cut (too rushed?). We left this practice because the staff is unprofessional and often were not wearing their masks properly during COVID. When I asked the assistant to please pull up her mask, she complained and said she was tired of people looking at her kids in the grocery store because they weren't wearing masks. How unprofessional! This is a medical establishment, correct? There is a sign saying all patients need to wear masks. Also a man sat in the waiting room with no mask on, and neither the receptionist not the staff told him to put on a mask. I finally asked him to put on a mask. We decided we could not continue with a podiatrist that has such a careless medical staff, and the badly done nail cuts.

I had to wait past my appointment time to see the doctor, which is sometimes understandable. The office staff were exceptional. I found them engaging and personable, absolutely the best. I was less than charmed by Dr. Chapman. I found her rude, dismissive, abrasive, and condescending. That isn't something I will tolerate especially when I am paying for the privilege.

I had Dr Jay who was awesome. She told me the truth even when I didn’t want to always hear it. She got me Healthy and I can truly say she is one of a kind. Dr Chapman also don’t play she tells me how it is and then they get to work to make me better. Thank you so much and I am sure you got me for the rest of both your careers as I will be sending pics of feet when I get scared. Again I appreciate you both so much and Dr Jay for dealing with me sometimes on a daily basis. Even weekends she would respond if I had a questions. If this country had more caring people Like you two it would be a much better place. Jim Oberer

She basically told me during appointment my bunion issue could be resolved by an orthopedic shoe as I have not enough bone density in foot, I also would have to live with the pain. Found another surgeon in Cincinnati who performed the necessary surgery and now 5 months later am pain free and walking in normal shoes! Dr. Chapman should be avoided.

Dr. Chapman nurse responded to my questions and was more attentive than the doctor. I to had the same issue as some of the other patients that have seen her. Not sure if I will continue seeing her or not. I’m giving her another opportunity to see me. If my experience is the same or worse I’ll be finding me another podiatrist. My first appointment was focused more on doing surgery on my toes than checking my feet for other issues.

Dr. Chapman frightened me. When I nicely asked her about my treatment plan she became enraged. Her fury over my simple question was alarming to witness; it was not the type of question that would provoke even annoyance much less anger. Her volatility and general lack of interpersonal skills are inappropriate and unbecoming. I would never consider her for future care needs.

1 hour wait time in waiting room. Then another 15-20 in the treatment room.Never called when custom made orthotic came in. Told 3-4 weeks at appt. But when i called back in 4 weeks told it would be 4-6 weeks by a very snooty receptionist. Called at 6 weeks and they said oh it came in a week and half ago. NO ONE called to tell me its been sitting there. .The exam was ok but she seems very rushed and inattentive.

Dr Chapman had a good grasp of my condition's details, and recommended a sensible treatment plan. She was very patient, listening to my thoughts and answering my questions. She made me feel like I was her only patient, and was unrushed. I highly recommend her.
