Outstanding, definitely 5 stars!
I have been a patient in this practice for a number of years. It is one of, if not the, best medical office experience of my more than 80 years. From Dr. Dean Stephens to the front office staff, to the NP, Liz, to ALL of the nurses in the infusion room, to the Quest Lab techs, this office receives stellar marks for their outstanding work, understanding, compassion and medical expertise, not to mention that each one always seems glad to see me. And “see” me, they do. I feel like my thoughts, opinions, and desires are fully understood and appreciated. But the general friendliness of everyone is absolutely over the top. Whomever is in charge of operating this office deserves high marks, and could easily teach other practices about the best way to keep patients happy and coming back. To be totally accepted and encouraged along a difficult medical path goes a long way to keeping patients happy and smiling.

Too difficult to make an appointment
When you call the office, the main number’s inbox is full and no one takes calls. If they do acknowledge your referral, you will have to wait 2 to 4 months before getting an appointment.

At my initial visit with Dr. Stephens he spent considerable time going through my history, gave me a thorough exam, treated my initial issues while carefully explaining the procedure, and answered all my questions. I never felt I was being rushed, and for the first time, I feel confident that I have a doctor who can help me with my Rheumatology problems

I have never been to a doctor as caring and concerned as Dr. Stephens. He takes his time, no matter what his schedule is like, and actually listens and answers any questions I have. I am so grateful Dr. Stephens is on my side, and I have all the confidence in the world I'm getting the best of the best in treatment to make my journey painless and promising.

Dr. Stephens is very compassionate, listens to what I have to say, and always includes me in the decisions regarding my care. When other doctors had given up on me, Dr Stephens didn't. He kept working on my case until he figured out what was going on. He never gave up. Dr. Stephens and his staff are very professional.

Great Doctor, on a scale of 1-5, a definate 5+! Office staff- some are 5s but others ???. The lab techs-very nice. One med. asst.is great! Other staff and issues: getting test results - problematic; phone calls rarely returned; pharmacy faxes ignored. There are some other general office concerns. Not sure how staffing is supervised, but Dr. Stephens provides patient-centered care and that's not easy to find. If you are able to advocate for yourself, he's worth the effort.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Stephens?
Dr. Stephens is a thorough doctor who listens to his patients. He is intelligent enough to think outside the box and has helped decrease my pain and symptoms since I began seeing him. His nurse, "Christy", is very competent and warm in her demeanor. His lab technician is wonderful for drawing blood without pain! His office staff is very professional and kind. I'm a stickler for most things and the only negative thing I could even comment on was that I had to wait for months to see him.

Dr. Stephens himself is Very Good, but his staff resembles Dr.Jekyll & Mr.Hyde! One nurse (Christy) is FABULOUS!-- friendly, caring, dependable & trustworthy; whereas, the other nurse (Christina) is NOT! Christina decides WHO & WHAT the Doc sees WHEN --- even overriding his orders to the detriment of patients! A prominent healthcare provider sharing many patients commented "IF the doctor was aware of the stories he would fire Christina within the week."

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Stephens?
In the beginning, I loved Dr. Stephens. He diagnosed and began treatment immediately. Over the 2 years since then, it seems that he doesn't understand or care about the actual pain and suffering his patient is going through. His medical assistant and nurses/office people are rude, do not return calls, takes 6-8 weeks to get a prior auth...Since combining his office with the other doctor, the problems have gotten much worse! Wish he would read these reviews and address the problems.

My referral was sent back to my primary care doctor with a not that said they couldn't see ma as a patient. I called Dr. Stephens office and was told I missed a new patient appointment 1 year ago and they couldn't see me. I informed her that I knew nothing about an appointment last year and she transferred to the nurses voicemail. No one has returned my call yet...

Dr Stephens is down to earth, so nice and caring. He doesn't rush you thru your time with him, he actually checks you out thoroughly, he is a hands on physician. My back surgeon never touched me to see where the pain was ever. Dr. Stephens puts you on a treatment plan to help your body and makes adjustments as needed to help your quality of life. I would tell anyone needing medical help in this field to defiantly go see Dr. Stephens for a consult, hopefully he could help you too.
