Dr. Dean Hildahl, MD

Dr. Hildahl’s office was dismissive and cold to me during a miscarriage, and subsequently dismissive when I was having first trimester bleeding in another pregnancy. You wait over an hour in the waiting room each visit. He took every chance to give me unnecessary ultrasounds despite my having a healthy later pregnancy so that he could charge me and my insurance. When I declined cervical checks and had difficulty with internal exams due to previous assault, he questioned my ability to give birth vaginally. Lastly, he told me that if my baby was too big and had complications during delivery, that any disfigurement would be my fault. Find a different doctor.

The staff is very friendly. Dr.Hildahl such a sweet man.Comes in the room and visits with you before and after the exam.Really listens and gives you advice on anything not just female issues.

Bring someone along to be in the room with you if you’re going to see this doctor, but I highly recommend literally anyone else in Naples.

Makes my blood boil how much this senior citizen doctor charged me for a simple office visit (didn’t even have a Pap smear)….. I am paying it back $10.00 per month & I really hope he retires soon. This kind of healthcare is no healthcare… it is keeping the inept system of “healthcare” in our country working for the pharmaceuticals (he had no problem writing out prescriptions I did not need or ask for).

I had a pregnancy complication which led to me calling Dr. Hildahl numerous times on nights, weekends, and a holiday. He quickly called me back each time and explained all options.

I have to state that I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone that wants to have the ability to ask their doctor questions OR enjoy the experience of being pregnant. He has the worst bedside manner I have seen. I have had 4 children and attended many other's appointments, and was witness to one today, where he rudely stated that they were not married and the baby could be anyone's. This after asking if weeks after a genetic test we had the results to, he had no clue of. It was our fault. That promptly ended the appointment and the derogatory treatment that my daughter would have had to receive. As a young interracial couple that are unmarried, yet navigating a pregnancy, it should be a happy time. After answering it was his first child, he stated to her "That you know of". Take the time to research a doctor that is not biased and racially insensitive. And remember families, you can always seek a different provider that will make this short time memorable for happy reasons.

Dr.hildahl is the best doctor! He delivered my children, was always very kind and caring. I would definitely recommend him by far the best doctor I’ve ever met.

Called Emergency number because I was having pain. He stated, "You wouldn't be in this position if you hadn't missed your appointment this week." I didn't! My next appointment was in 2 weeks. I said, "I just wanted to make sure my pain was normal or if I need to go to the hospital." He said, "If it it's bad enough to call me, it's bad enough to go to the hospital. Now go to the Birth Center. They'll call me." I was terrified and cried. The following business day I went and got my records. Why would you treat a patient like that who was scared she was losing her baby?

does not know your name or listen to concerns.

I felt unsafe and scared.

Dr. Hildahl is great. He is patient, knowledgable, kind, really takes the time to listen, and makes you feel comfortable. I have been going to see him for a few years now for my yearly checkup. Everytime I go he pulls up notes from our last visit. His nurse is always bubbly and kind as well.

Dr Hildahl is wonderful. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, great at explaining things, answers questions and takes excellent notes and always remembers.

Dr was friendly, made me feel comfortable. Dr was somewhat dismissive of concerns. Would've continued to see this Dr if it wasn't for his absolutely horrendous office staff. Receptionist was more of a grumpy troll than someone who should be welcoming to patients. I never felt well received. Billing was a nightmare, extremely rude and lied on more than one occasion. Nurse was positive aspect of this office. I don't recommend this Dr.
