Remote Monitoring for AFib
Dr. Yao has implanted a loop recorder to monitor my condition remotely. He reviews the routine data tracked by the Abbott "MyMerlin" application monthly and I can record and transmit my condition on demand if I sense an irregular condition. This service provides a level of comfort for the patient.

I spent three hours in the office and only saw the doctor for five minutes. I did have an echocardiogram and was given a Holter monitor which took up some of the time but there is no excuse for that much of a delay.

Waited 2.5 hours for my appointment and because Dr. Yao was running so far behind I did not get my echocardiogram. He rescheduled it for a 2nd time 3 months from now. I asked if we could do it sooner because I'd like to know what is going on with my heart and he said no. He didn't seem to care at all.

I came in at 9:15 and stress test was done at 10. I waited 2.5 hours for an echo cardiogram. The tech explained that some people get appointments and some just get scheduled and they wait, I.e overbooking. I waited 30 minutes after test to see Dr. Yao who had not looked at test results but managed to listen with a scope and tell me to schedule a 6month follow up. This is a massive practice focused on revenue generation. I did not feel they had any respect for my time.

I have brought my dad to three appointments. He came in for the initial consultation, spent ten minutes and said wait here so we can schedule for echocardiogram and stress test. Nearing 5 o'clock, two hours later, we asked if the next appointment had been scheduled, the Secretary said, oh my gosh we forgot about you! We spent from 8 to 430 to get the the echo and stress test done in his office. For the heart Cath he is currently running 3 hours late and counting. Has never explained anythin

My cpc referred me to see Dr. Yao for chest pain. He saw me the next day and arranged for immediate cauterization and found a very bad blockage. The blockage was so bad that it could have caused a major heart attack. The blockage was treated and I was back home in 24 hours. Dr. Yao truly saved my life!

I had my first visit with him and his staff today. I really was impressed. I will definitely keep him as my cardiologist. He was going to run late and the nurse called me the day before to let me know that. I was impressed. He went over all of my test results with me. Very personable.
