Finally a doctor who understands
I am over 60, and for my entire life I have had stomach problems. Dr. Weinstein immediately under the issue and recommended diet changes, and medication. He also referred me to an ENT for reflux. I feel so much better even 2 years later.

The gastroenterologist I trust anymore
I've been to a lot of gastroenterologists over the years now, and Dr. Weinstein is the only one who has taken the time to actually listen to *me* about my issues and help me understand what's going on with me. He never once felt condescending or rude or like I was stupid, like so many other doctors I've been to see over the years. His staff was friendly, approachable, and helpful. If he was covered by my current insurance, I would still be going to him now.

I had my first colonoscopy ever this week with Dr. Weinstein. Everything went smooth, the office staff was excellent, the nurses were very attentive, the procedure was easy, they followed up with me the next day (and send the records to my primary physician the same day). Excellent service/Doctor/practice, highly recommended!

Absolutely terrible! He doesn't seem to have the patience to listen to the problems and symptoms of the patient (lacks empathy). I had and still have the symptoms of an irritable bowel and they began after he performed a colonoscopy on me. He prescribed an antibiotic which may have cleared up the problem but my bowel movements haven't gotten back to normal. I would never go back to this doctor again.

He was great. I disagree whole heartedly with other reviewers that say Dr Weinstein doesn’t listen. I had the exact opposite experience. I was amazed by the time and depth of questioning he gave. I believe he is that rare Dr who knows when he is the right physician for the job and when the patient needs someone else. I know that can be frustrating for some who want a quick answer or script. I am grateful for a physician who dives deep and doesn’t just check the box.

Dr Weinstein improved my health and quality of life. He is one of the rare Dr.’s that will sit and listen to your symptoms and truely get to the root of the problem not just run tests and throw medicine at you. He questioned me like a detective trying to solve a mystery. Lucky for me he solved the mystery and my stomach thanks him!

If you want a Doctor that is concerned about your special needs, DON'T go to this doctor. He walked out in the middle of my first visit with him and said he would be right back and NEVER CAME back! I complained to his nurses and they just said, "he is just really busy." If he is that busy, than he does not need new patients!! Very disappointing!! Horrible bed manners!!! There are plenty of other Gastroenterologist in Atlanta, find another one to go to!!

I agree with the other patient who posted regarding the fact that Dr. Weinstein does not & will not listen to a patient after he has made up his mind. He also will not commit to a diagnosis which left me feeling helpless and without any sort of way to treat my medical ailments. The major issue I had with him was that I complained about my symptoms for a particular issue for months and he completely disregarded me. I switched physicians & was properly diagnosed within 48 hours of my first visit

I originally went to him with ongoing issues from a previously diagnosed IBD. Unfortunately, he does not listen to his patients, especially if he has made up his mind. It would be great if that meant I was getting better or feeling stronger, but I don't. I'm going to a new doctor.
