Dr. David Wei, Wound care specialist
Is this the same Dr. David Wei? I was nervous after reading these reviews, but saw Dr. David Wei at the JM Wound Care Center in Walnut Creek. He was always pleasant, spent as much time as I needed, answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and most important, was extremely proficient at resolving my problem. I had a deep surgical wound which reopened after the stiches dissolved, when I was out of the country. Upon my return, under his care and the expert care of the rest of the team at the JM Wound Care Center, my wound healed from the inside out, as it was supposed to. I couldn't be happier. I saw Dr. Wei weekly for 9 weeks until I was healed enough to not require a bandage over my wound, which is still slowly healing. In addition, he gave me the best nutrition advice I have ever received from a doctor, no supplements, just advice about healthy eating to facilitate wound healing. I couldn't be happier. I never write reviews, but feel this is important.

Dr Wei is the worst Doctor I have ever seen in an Emergency room. I have severe Crohn's Disease and he kept asking the stupidest questions. He didn't believe me even though I told him I was bleeding, throwing up and having extreme Diarrhea. I could hardly stand up, & he let me go after he gave me 1 bag of hydration. He's a terrible Doctor and should be reported to the AMA. Shame on you Dr. Wei, you have terrible bedside manner & should even call yourself a Doctor.

* I wish I was allowed to leave ZERO stars The most demeaning, cold, arrogant physician I have ever encountered. I was in such a state of distress from his lack of empathy, care, willingness to talk, answer basic questions. He also left the room after 30 seconds without a treatment plan. No tests ran. Nothing. I would like to take this a next step further and look into filing a complaint to the board. This man cannot be in public health and medicine. I left feeling demoralized, robbed of my money, no treatment plan and a new found anger for John Muir. (Been a loyal JM patient for over 20 years)

I went to John Muir emergency room one evening and had Dr. Wei. He told me that I most likely had cancer!!!! He was totally wrong and could not believe a doctor would say that without a biopsy. He had me worried for weeks until I could go see a competent doctor. He was horrible and could not care less about me as a patient. He did not answer one question and gave me no information whatsoever. He was the worst uncaring, cruel, doctor. He should not be allowed to go near a patient!

i've never seen such dr who's so uncare for his patient. letting them in the room for constantly complain of pain and not provide any treatment. held patient in the er for over 8 hrs and discharged them by saying no findings. you could've done that hours ago, why wait for 8 hrs, so your shift ends and you made all the gains

You are a horrible healthcare professonal! When patients approach you please review their records and see what care they need. Your rude tone, aloof demeanor and coarse attitude sullies the field you work for. My recommendation: find another line of work or go back to school !!!

Poor experience in the John Muir Walnut Creek ER due to Dr. Wei. Dr Wei is one of those physicians who unfortunately does not see patients as individuals and does not have time to answer questions. Being in the ER is never a pleasant experience but Dr Wei's poor bedside manner and condescending tone to patients and hospital staff made the experience that much worse.
