Forty years ago, Dr. Thurston took care of me after a car accident which broke my pelvis. Thirty years ago he replaced the joint with a total hip. Yesterday, orthopedists at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN told me that the reason I have been able to walk on this leg all these years is that Dr. Thurston did an incredible job of care; the surgery, they say, was a masterpiece. I still use that total hip; the doctors at Mayo are going to repair some wear...but after 29 years, it is incredible that I walk on it still. Thank you, Dr. Thurston. You are a wonderful surgeon.
